Primrose Cottage

The views. The sitting room was comfortable. Very clean throughout. The kitchen was fairly well equipped.

The Wi-Fi frequently didn’t connect. The shower pressure is very poor. The single bed beside the window was uncomfortable - it’s on a slant. The outside bench needs updating. The kitchen tap wasn’t repaired during our stay.

A very well kept traditional cottage. It was clean and had everything we needed. The beds were comfortable,with a twin room and a dble.We felt the bathroom was a bit tired but was clean and hot water was plentiful.The cottage was only set up for 2 people, But the booking was for 4 people. This was soon rectified by calling the caretaker Tracey. She was very apologetic and said her booking showed only 2 people staying. We soon had extra bedding and towels to cater for us all. Thankyou Tracey. The cottage is set behind The Quarryman pub, with about a dozen traditional miners cottages. A very busy pub and recommend booking for a table Very good food.

Instructions on the oven would off been handy .

The location was great, the proximity to an excellent pub a bonus. The rooms were well appointed and the kitchen well equipped with some basics - tea, salt, pepper, washing up liquid and laudry detergent.

It would really help find the house if it was advised that it was in the courtyard behind The Quarryman Inn. The only change I would suggest is that the quilt was a little too warm for us and there was no option of blankets. Other than that, it was excellent.

Better log burner. The installed is a toy. The storage heaters could do with replacing. Both doors need draft proofing.Bath needs a grab handle.
