Casa de Tulia

Overall, we were satisfied -- this was a good value for the price and served our needs well. The home is located in a quiet neighborhood, but just a short taxi ride from the center or the cable car. Sra. Tulia was a very kind and thoughtful host; she showed us around the neighborhood when we arrived, taking us to nearby shops and restaurants. The washing machine was very convenient. There are two friendly dogs that live in the house below, which our kids enjoyed playing with. The place is decorated in a unique and fun way.

The unit was not completely clean when we arrived: there was some very old (spoiled) food left in the refrigerator, and the bathroom was a bit dirty. There are no doors on the bedrooms. Other than that, there were a few small issues: there was no key to lock the door to the space we stayed in; however, since the front door to the street is locked, we weren't really worried and we didn't have any issues. The mattresses are old and, in my opinion, not very comfortable. We stayed in the top-level unit, and to get there you need to climb a lot of rather narrow stairs. The host did not tell us until the moment we were leaving that she required us to pay in cash. If we had known sooner, we could have easily gotten the cash when we were out. Instead, we had to delay our departure and make a trip to the bank at the last minute.
