Suite Le Vele

This is probably the best apartment we've rented. On the 4th floor of a smart building, it is spacious, stylish & well equipped. The large terrace has a lateral sea view and morning sun. Clean, well equipped with washing machine, dishwasher, full cooker (electric hob & oven), microwave, nespresso machine, toaster. Condiments provided. The bed was comfortable and had nice cotton bedding. We slept really well. No noise from neighbouring apartments. There was plenty of storage in all the rooms too. The location is perfect, just a few minutes walk from the bridge over to the historic centre of Gallipoli. We had no problem finding a free parking space right outside the building (in March). Underneath the apartment block are two classy restaurants overlooking the sea. We had lunch on arrival in the Italian – sublime grilled swordfish and grilled mixed vegetables. We enjoyed walking onto the island for a sundowner at Il Faro. Lunch was good there too.

Everything was perfect.

Excellent location - easy walk into old town.

The windows look over a rubble strewn area onto a derelict building - the sea view is sideways. Suite le Vele is in need of maintenance. Water from the kitchen sink and bathroom washbasin very slow, bedside light not working on one side of bed. Iron had exposed wires and was therefore dangerous. Lights in bathroom flickered on and off. Whilst there is parking nearby you have to be lucky to get a "free space" .
