About this apartment rental
Completely independent apartment with 60 m2, on the 1st floor of a villa, located by the sea, in the countryside, very quiet and with sun exposure from sunrise to sunset; composed of double room complete with bed in comfortable spring mattress; a complete bath with double shower, fixed and manual, with washing machine; a living room, with two single beds with spring mattresses, plus an integrated kitchen equipped with an induction hob, fridge, dishwasher, microwave, kettle, toaster, blender, citrus juicer etc. With direct access to a south-facing terrace of 20 m2 overlooking the sea, Desertas Islands and Ponta da Atalaia volcanic cone, equipped with sun loungers, parasol, external shower, barbecue equipped with all utensils, outside dining table and with wide view, a five-minute walk from the wild beach of Portinho, with a pizzeria 50 meters away, and a pub 200 meters away, bus stop next to the venue every 45 minutes and supermarket 500 meters of the place. We have airport transfer service for a fee of 20 euros.

My wife and I stayed for 10 quiet peaceful days in early February in this apartment, and thoroughly enjoyed our stay. The apartment was very well maintained and equipped to a high standard, nothing being overlooked. Car parking either within the grounds of the property or outside was easy and always available.
As it was warm and sunny for the duration of our stay, the large South facing balcony, with sea views, was much appreciated and enjoyed sun at any time of day – the best we have experienced on any of our rentals!
Our hosts, Bernardo and Maria, were very friendly, (as were Eddie and Beethoven, their dogs). They were always on hand and responded enthusiastically to any request we made.
I would make just 2 comments about the accuracy of details on the HomeAway listing – there is no air conditioning as stated and the grill as listed is part of a combination microwave/grill. These issues did not detract in any way from our enjoyment of our stay, but may be helpful for others to be aware of.
When we visit Madeira again, my wife and I would certainly choose to stay here.

If you want to stay on nice calm place close to airport and Funchal, this apartment is exactly what you are looking for.. Fully equipped, nice and cozy and big terrace with sea view. Housekeeper has may recommendations what to see and how to get there and is helpful to share with you.. And he grows avocados on his garden!! :))
