The property was very close and convenient to family

Property has been refurbished to a high standard. Modern decor and facilities whilst retaining elements of rustic charm The property is really well equipped - has everything you need for a comfortable break 3 spacious bedrooms - all with toilet facilities and sinks. The master bedroom also has a shower. Beds were comfortable. Plenty of space outdoors for family or down-time. We made good use of the bbq and outside seating area Very peaceful. There are at least 3 properties on the site, and we occasionally saw other guests coming or going, but otherwise very quiet. Access is via a private lane and the property is surrounded by farmland. Great location for exploring Normandy and Brittany. We did a number of day trips to beaches, local towns or historical sights. Some lovely walking routes in Mortain which is about 20 minutes away by car The owner made a point of coming to say hello once we had settled in, and to check we were comfortable. He noticed my eldest son was a tennis fan and lent us 2 racquets and balls and recommended a local tennis court that could be used free of charge.

Nothing to complain about. We had a lovely stay. It may have been helpful to be proceed with more towels given the duration of our stay - but the property has a washing machine so all fine.

Le gîte est très calme, les extérieurs sont bien entretenus, le logement est vraiment super bien équipé et d'une propreté irréprochable. Je recommande vivement.

The location was fantastic. Lovely views. The location was fairly central to towns and villages that were nicely decorated for the Christmas period.

Trying to keep the gite warm as we stayed over the Christmas/New year period and the outside temperature was below 0 degrees. Only one small electric wall heater downstairs. There was a wood burner but we were told we couldn’t use it because of insurance. Upstairs temperature was fine. Gas oven/cooker probably needs upgrading as the oven was difficult to light because the igniter switch was broken.
