There were no keys to collect. We were instructed that the property would be left open and unlocked for arrival.

The house itself was generally as described. However, our employees did not receive the private and exclusive use expected from an “entire holiday home” booking. During their stay, an unknown couple with a dog entered the unlocked property and stayed overnight. Our employees were already in their bedrooms when the couple entered, and the owner later confirmed that a side camera recorded them approaching and walking into the house. The owner’s written arrival information stated that the house would be left open, no key was required, the area was considered safe and the house was generally not locked. Guests were also instructed to leave it unlocked when checking out. We acknowledge that our employees did not report the incident until the following morning, which meant it could not be addressed that night. However, we were extremely disappointed by the response after it was reported. The focus remained on blaming our employees, with no refund or partial refund offered for the loss of privacy and exclusive use. Based on the incident and how our concerns were handled afterwards, we would not stay here again.

Beautiful spacious home, perfect for our large family group. The gardens were just exquisite in autumn. Could not fault how well equipped this property was. Loved the owner’s witty info sheets through the property. Can’t wait to return in the future.

There was old opened milk in the fridge and there was no key in back door as advised. Also rooms a bit dusty.
