About this house rental
Maison Rossignol is set in the small hamlet of Flerac in the commune of Saint Georges Des Agouts. It is ideally situated just 5-10 minutes from junction 37 of the A10 autoroute at Mirambeau, yet in a blissfully quiet area surrounded by vineyards.
It offers open and spacious accommodation for up to 6 people. The accommodation is all on one floor, together with half an acre of open space offering fantastic views of the open countryside.
It has been renovated with a heated swimming pool added in 2018 and further renovations. Exclusive use of house and pool. Not shared with anyone else.
In the Peak Summer Season, changeover days are Saturday and bookings are a minimum 7 day blocks.
Situated close to Mirambeau in the Charente Maritime, the house is ideally located to explore the golden sandy beaches near Meschers and Royan, the history and heritage of Saintes and the vineyards of Bordeaux and Cognac.
Bordeaux is just 45 mins drive away, with the Dordogne and Atlantic surfing beaches within easy reach too. Whether its rest or activity, family time or peace and quiet – you’ll be spoilt for choice.
About the House
Kitchen/Dining Area:
The fitted kitchen/diner is a large, light and airy open space. Offering everything you’d expect at home including programmable oven/hob, dishwasher, washing machine and a large American fridge freezer. The dining area comfortably seats 6 and looks out onto the front garden.
Living Room:
The large beamed room is ideal to retreat from the summer heat or to warm up on cooler evenings in front of the wood burning stove. There’s plenty of entertainment choice with TV & full fibre streaming, books, films and games (consoles and traditional).
En-suite Bedroom:
The vaulted ceiling and exposed local stone create a barn-like space for the king size bed, together with plenty of storage space in the wardrobe and chest of drawers.
A door leads through to the en-suite bathroom, finished with Italian shower, mosaic and marbled tiling throughout.
Bedroom 2:
Very spacious with large french windows. Twin beds, clothes storage, bookcase and side tables.
Bedroom 3:
Very spacious with large french windows. Twin beds, clothes storage, chest of drawers and side tables.
Shower room/WC
Located across from the hallway from the other bedrooms, with a Italian walk-in shower with mosaic tiled floor, heated towel rail, WC and basin.
Outside
The garden extends to half an acre and wraps around the house, offering privacy and seclusion from the front, with a spectacular view across the hills and down to the Gironde valley.
The 10m X 5m heated pool catches the sun all day long, surrounded by pear and walnut trees so there is also shade in various parts of the garden throughout the day.
Note: The Pool is closed from End October to May each year.
The pool has roman steps at the shallow end making it easy to get in and out of. There is plenty of space around the pool, with sun loungers for the whole party,
There is also a driveway with ample parking space, a garage and courtyard area perfect for sunny boule matches.
Immediately outside the house is a graveled area with a very shallow small pond and a grassed area, adjacent to the main lawn.
Just outside the kitchen is the terrace which gets the sun all day and is perfect for al- fresco dining.

We booked this at short notice,so the day before we arrived. We got an amazing deal on the price also. We loved this place as it was well maintained and has everything you need for a wonderful holiday and we certainly had that. did. The star of the show was the pool, not only a great size, but the views over the open fields were stunning. The only thing was we did not want to leave. David was so helpful and there whenever we needed him by email. Nothing was a problem even when it came to extending our stay, it was all sorted out in minutes. Amazing location, shops close , everything is there. I would totally recommend this place, you will not regret it. We would love to go back again.

The gîte was clean and tidy and in beautiful surroundings. Parking for 2 vehicles. A lovely pool set in pleasant lawned garden with a lovely view across the fields. Welcomed with a bottle of wine, bread and the makings of a simple meal. Our host was easily contactable and responded immediately when we couldn’t work out how to get the tv to work. The owners had provided a booklet with clear details about every aspect of the gîte and suggestions for places to visit, markets and nearest supermarket. Really well organised and thoughtfully equipped although no one could have anticipated the worst heatwave in living memory! Once again our host contacted us to make sure we had found and were using the air conditioning fans. Fortunately being an older building with thick walls and many shutters the gîte was relatively cool inside. We fully recommend Maison Rossignol as a great place for a holiday.

A lovely house set in a rural location but near shops and an excellent restaurant. Great communication from the owner and I would thoroughly recommend a stay.

We had the most amazing time topped off with fabulous weather. Couple of minor hitches ( tv channels not working, dishwasher not working, dvd player not working) but who cares when you have a pack of cards, a jigsaw, amazing pool, fabulous location and good company !!! The owners were very apologetic and kept in touch throughout. We stayed here with my daughter and her partner and 2 dogs who all loved every minute. The owners had given us lots of visitor information which was so helpful. We were there just in time for the pears to be dropping from the tree so had fresh pears to eat each day. We also arrived to a lovely welcome pack. This place was everything we wanted and needed thank you so much 👍👍
