About this resort
Mayan Palace offers the length of Riviera Maya, meaning your lap of luxury is just steps away from the best that Vidanta has to offer. Without talking about the service , its just exceptional, believe me you will love these guys!! This awesome resort is located 30 minutes south of the Cancun airport and Playa del Carmen, where you find a Walmart very convenient for those one who want home food.
The place has the perfect accommodations for your vacation, whether you’re on an intimate getaway or a lively family reunion. Romantic and relaxing getaway for two, or a family adventure where you can enjoy a relaxing vacation for your body, soul and mind.
The Pools are series of connected lagoons dotted with fierce Mayan sculptures, arching fountains, and tiny islands—the perfect place to stretch out, cool off, and enjoy the ultimate vacation. However, you don't need to leave the resort if you don't want to because there are numerous pools and gourmet restaurants, enjoy both lush vegetation strolling along wooden paths, relax in the majestic pools of crystal clear water and enjoy a culinary-theatrical show at JOY with Cirque du Soleil.
A grocery store if you prefer to cook, golf, 2 spas, and so many activities they can't all be listed (Black Jack, Texas Hold'em, Bingo, pool games, volleyball, Spanish lessons, dance lessons, exercise programs) Exciting nocturnal activities, such as music and live shows.
The bedroom is seating for 6 people ( 4 adults, 2 kids). The room has a king-size bed, and a desk. In the living room are two more couches that pull out into beds. a bathroom and a private balcony. Each room has a T.V. The kitchen comes stocked with plates, pans, etc to cook on the stove or microwave; and a blender for your favorite drinks.
Housekeeping daily included.
Please be aware the resort aloud CHECK IN just on Friday, Saturday, Sunday and Monday.

The property at Vidanta is wonderful! My husband and I enjoyed all the wonderful restaurants and laid out at the pool our beach every day. We never even left the property. There is a great little market where we picked up a few items to make breakfast in our room every morning, lunches poolside, then had a lovely dinner each night. We even got massages at the spa. The only thing I wish we had done is said no to the breakfast and presentation. It was a waste of 4 hours of our vacation and the sales people were very rude when they realized we really meant we weren't interested. Thankfully we didn't let it ruin our week in paradise. I highly recommend this property.

I am not typically a resort person but, being a recent wheelchair user, we were needing accessible accommodations. The property was fully accessible including bathrooms, restaurants, pathways throughout, and room. I can not tell you how important this is to those with impaired mobility. I was able to GO WITH my kids everywhere(except the beach) and I usually get left behind.
The restaurants, while expensive, offered high end quality dishes. Our favorite was the Cevicheterria which offered fresh seafood. It was also a relief to have tip included in the menu price.
It is a massive property but it was easy to find a quiet spot as well as the all day pool party atmosphere.
I would love to see disabled access into the pool as well as the beach and possibly an informational packet or paragraph in the Welcome booklet on accessibility features for the disabled guest.
