Lovely place but amenities within lodge poor

It was picturesque,wonderful views, food was outstanding.

There were no coffee pods in the lodge and when requested we were told they were out of stock There was only 1 coat hanger, we had to request more. We were unable to use the safe as previous occupants had left it locked and no-one checked this before we arrived. The staff booked us in for breakfast for the wrong wedding.

Great place, but the little things let it down

The decor, was very nice. Which was in fitting to the history of the castle. With rooms being large and spacious. The staff were all friendly and professional

The bed, seems to loudly creek at every movement. Sadly after reporting this, nothing was done. Tv remote had seen a lot of use, and was hard to use. On arrival the carpet had crumbs through it. It took over 45 mins to get breakfast, with the explanation that there was only one chef

Magical weekend for 2, plus we had a weeding on as well for great combo

Beautiful location

Beautiful location, good sized bed and bathroom. Room spacious with lovely quirky furniture. Waiter at dinner was excellent- meal was delicious.

Lovely hotel and lodges but improvements needed, to merit premium prices.

Comfortable bed, great hot tub, lovely staff. We liked the decor and way the lodge had been furnished and the hotel building was beautifully decorated. The lodge was warm. Plenty of car parking.

Storage in the lodge is a bit wanting - I had to hang my dress from a door frame as the wardrobe was too short (and the doors are not easy to slide) - I’m sure this could be improved. The shower is small, considering the available space in the bathroom. It’s only possible to enter and exit the bed by sliding in and out from the foot of the bed, as the space around the sides can’t be more than 6 inches. We put the cushions from the bed on the sofa. However, if using the sofa bed, space for storage was really limited. On our first morning, a wedding party from the night before had exclusive use of the breakfast room. We were sat on our own in a bar area, where staff were constantly passing through, removing wedding paraphernalia from the night before and bringing in incoming decor for that day’s wedding. Not ideal at all and we weren’t offered any cereal or toast. We had been offered continental breakfast in the lodge, but it wasn’t what we were looking for at £230/night.

Amazing staff and really helpful. Very clean and comfortable room.

Limited wine list at dinner and wine out of stock. A shame as the food was excellent. Not shampoo/conditioner in the shower. Limited choice of tea/coffee in room.

Some nice bits but wouldn't stay again

lovely building, furnishings and traditional features. Breakfast buffet very limited but beautifully displayed

Wallpaper hanging off bedroom ceiling. Bed very uncomfortable mattress in serious need of replacing. no indication that there was cooked food, two menus on table both for continental and not accurate as stated selection of bread, there was no bread. When we had selected our cold breakfast the waitress came and asked us to order hot food, she did not tell us what was on menu, very disappointing. We wouldn't stay there again.

Wonderful stay but speed of service could be improved.

Room was lovely. Spacious and clean with a large en-suite. The jacuzzi bath was a lovely bonus surprise. Staff were helpful and friendly at all hours Food in the evening was really nice.

Food service was very slow. Breakfast was basic and somewhat less than hot.

Fabulous location, beautiful scenery and very tranquil. The lodge was quirky and tastefully furnished; it had everything we needed to ensure a relaxing and pleasant break.

The bedroom in the lodge was a bit tight on space however, that’s didn’t detract from a lovely stay.

Location is stunning. Great outdoor hot tubs at the lodges. Staff were really friendly. Excellent wedding room. Great building.

Wasn't exactly what was expected but nobody's perfect, even royalty :)

Everything was magical with the exception of the room.

We booked the honeymoon suite for our honeymoon, and we flew from the U.S. to get there, only to find out that the suite was given to someone else. This is wrong, especially for such an important occasion. If we had gotten a call confirming the room, we might have found this discrepancy in advance and saved ourselves heartache.

Lovely weekend away from the city

The service was exceptional where everything was explained clearly to us regarding use of the hot tub etc. Breakfast was served promptly the next morning in a cute picnic basket. We even had someone come around to ask us if we needed anything else since we were staying for 2 nights.

There wasn't a lot of space to hang jackets and wet towels, especially since it was raining while we were there. We also struggled to find power plugs and the lack of a nightstand right next to the bed was a little annoying.

Nice stay but hot 🥵

Bed was extremely comfortable and the bathroom was excellent. Overall a lovely room for what we needed.

The radiators in the room were all up full and could not turn these down, tried to contact reception but had no joy. Would have been a more enjoyable stay if this wasn’t the case.

We will return.

We have stayed at hotels all over the world and do not usually review them so this is an exception. Staff were tremendous, attentive and friendly. Evening meal in the restaurant was excellent, as was breakfast the folowing morning. Slight problem with our initial room which was resolved immediately with a move to another room. Rooms were spotlessly clean and the views were fantastic. This is undoubtedly one of the best we have ever stayed at. As I write this, I am trying to book a further stay at Cornhill Castle for my wife and I. We loved it. Stuart

location is good with lovely grounds and scenery.

function suite was cold all day and night. Lodge stay nit up to standard expected. bedroom door did not close and coffee machine didn’t work. only received breakfast for 1 when there were 2 of us in lodge. not rectified even though brought to staff’s attention. breakfast in dining area on 2nd morning had to ask for table to be cleared and for cutlery and glasses.

Stunning Castle Stay

Loved everything about this place, from the luxurious looking rooms to the beautiful grounds to walk round. The staff were so friendly and accommodating (fussy eater here so wasn't sure I'd like anything for dinner and they were brill). The rooms are lovely and clean and just so gorgeous and the restaurant is just stunning! I will absolutely stay here again (soon!!)

Great room, great staff, fantastic chef and very good value quality meal I would go just for the food. The building is impressive and grand
