A shame that the extreme cold spoiled the stay

Thé gîte was tiny, & easy to find. Street parking okay. A pretty little courtyard ( although it was below freezing in our stay in January) a pretty stone fireplace. A nice bath, fortunately.

I have never left a complaint before, & am sorry to now do so, but you should be warned : Thé gîte was FREEZING ! We arrived in the village 3 minutes early, so drove just to find the location. We saw that the owner / caretaker was still doing the cleaning, so we went to a cafe & explored the village. When we returned to the gite the heating must’ve only JUST been turned on. Perhaps it had been empty for some time, but we could not get warm. To add insult to injury, there was a pretty stone fireplace …but with no firewood ! Luckily there was a nice bath, so I had long soaks to get warm. We left as soon as we could. It’s probably delightful in the summer ! Now I’m suffering from a respiratory viral infection, surely not helped by the extreme discomfort - we should’ve found a hotel…

Definitely will stay again. Pets welcome and 5min walk to town centre. Beautiful village very peaceful. We had down stairs property, pictures didn’t do it justice bigger than we thought. The property is close to lots of lovely towns. Shops nearby. Places to visit a few hours from the house. Paris ;if driving I recommend: Parclick app. Visited Fontainebleau, Guedelon castle, Nemours, Le Cyclop. Lovely local Forest walks nearby. Coctails in Milly @ Moun Karaobes delicious!

Seems like the place was furnished on the cheap a while back. Not maintained or cleaned enough now.

Florence, the owner mad an effort to come and say hello and sort out problems I was having with the induction hob. She seemed like a nice person although when we met didn't seem very interested in my suggestion for improvement (recycling bin in within apartment which would have made recycling things much easier)

Sink not clean - Inadequate drawer for cutlery - not enough cutlery - surfaces grubby and worn - inadequate food storage space - curtains trailing and grubby - furniture poor condition - no proper oven (only microwave with inadequate "grill") - toilet roll holder v poor quality and rickety - cutlery cheap, bendy knives - dtainer too small - shower head wouldn't stay up (sliding down rail) - hot water for shower doesn't last very long - garden neglected

Well equipped apartment in a nice location. I really appreciate the colour coordination in this place, it’s a nice detail when things actually match :)

Only thing I can think of to improve the place is a comfy couch instead of chairs but that’s personal preference

Very relaxing, comfortable & convenient, and near to Milly town centre & the forest.

Florence(the owner) had provided us with the key code number in advance of our arrival. She was kind & attentive and was on hand if we needed anything. We would definitely stay again - we love both apartments.

Nothing! The apartment had everything we needed - it was warm & comfortable, and in a fantastic location. It would be perhaps be nice to have a sofa instead of 2 individual chairs...but the chairs were comfortable.

Gîte Milly is a beautiful, traditional property in Milly la Forêt. very well equipped and comfortable. communication with the host regarding key collection etc was excellent.

everything right from booking the host was very responsive giving instructions on where key was & even checked to make sure I had got in and everything was ok. the apartment has everything you could need it was very clean and with attention to detail . i will défiant key stay here again

Very relaxing stay, comfortable bed, beautiful little garden & great location.

The apartment was tastefully decorated, with everything we needed, including a lovely shady patio garden. It was located in a quiet area of Milly but only a 10min walk into town. Florence the owner was very kind & attentive, and provided extra touches like little artisan soaps, and chocolates.

Everything you'll need

It actually was bigger than expected, and very well equiped for a comfortable stay, especially the kitchen (dish washer, large fridge etc). Also it was very clean. The location is also great, as it is 5 minutes walking from the town square, where you'll find restaurants, bakeries, a small supermarket, everything you need to have a great time. Milly is surrounded by a great forest were you can spend days walking, cycling or bouldering. At 20 minutes you will also find Fontainebleau, with its famous castle and plenty of shops, and in Villiers en Biere a large shopping mall with one of these supermarkets where you can fill your car on the way back home.

Nothing. I read that a few people have problems with the space, yes the stairs are kind of narrow and the bathroom is not big, but what would you expect with this amount of room? The rest of the gite is vast enough for 2 persons, no reason to downgrade the whole thing. I wouldn't mind thicker pillows.

Nice, calm surroundings in a little, picturesque village close to a lovely forest with hikes and close to Fontainebleau. It was a cute apartment with all you need in the kitchen.

It could have been cleaned better. It was only superficially cleaned, there were hair and crumbs on the floor, the hairdryer was sticky and a bit disgusting, and dust in the corners. The kitchen hood didn't work. It was a bit sad that there was no couch to sit down a bit comfortably.

Gite très cosy et a qqs minutes à pied du centre. J'y ai passé une semaine avec ma fille pour son stage de seconde en télétravail. L'appartement du RDC est resté frais malgré la forte chaleur exterieure et la petite cour a été un vrai plus!

Övernattning i lantlig miljö

Ett mysigt litet sommarboende som kanske hade varit bättre för en längre vistelse än vår som bara varade en natt. Vi hade just landat på Orly och påbörjat vår resa söderut och sökte ett rum för natten. Trots ganska sen bokning fick vi hjälp med denna övernattning.
