Disappointed

Location is excellent.

The property’s location is excellent; however, our overall experience was very disappointing. The house was not clean upon arrival—there were hairs and flies on the floor and throughout the bathroom. Additionally, the shower in H08 was broken, and the shower drainage in H07 did not function properly, causing water to accumulate. I also accidentally left my rings in H08. I contacted the reception on the day of checkout and followed up daily afterward, but no action was taken. I sent multiple emails and completed the form as instructed by the receptionist, yet I was repeatedly told that nothing had been received. The staff were unfriendly, unprofessional, and unhelpful throughout this process, which only added to the frustration. Overall, this was a very disappointing experience despite the good location.

Takeaway breakfast perfect. Dogs allowed, perfect. Domaine and walks really beautiful, we shall be returning most certainly.

Check out time is 10:00 which we find is too early. Beds are not made up before hand, so a surprise as it’s not mentioned on Booking.com, but really not a problem.

Beautiful, clean, and very well-maintained property. The staff were lovely and helpful. Peaceful lakeside location.

No AC made the first floor extremely hot, leading to difficult nights sleep. Stairs are very narrow and steep. No on-site shop for essentials No cleaning service

It's OK considering the location

Location is perfect as always, calm, zen and peaceful.

There's no mosquito nets on any of the windows, property is located near a lake and the whole area is filled with little rivers and ponds. The amount of bugs is unimaginable, no window or patio door has nets installed, the moment you open the windows all kind of creatures walk in. There is no housekeeping, no trash service, no laundry. You have to deliver the villa cleaned and tidied up. Stairs are narrow and steep not for elderly. Tv is extremely small and do not have any smart features. Bed is not a double bed but two single beds joined as one, mattress is so thin it's immediately squished.

Golden Lakes Villas are not 4stars, they are not 3stars… I believe it’s around 2 stars and not for this amount of money

Area and resort is really nice

- Resort is not secured enough and so all neighbourhood during sunny days is entering resort! Not single security personnel, entry gate is opening for everyone ect. - Misleading description of the resort, The resort is claiming on their website and other booking sites that they have different attractions like beach bar or playground for kids which is not true… Playground is under construction, beach bar was open during one day… - Big Houses (villas) but very poorly finished (shower is a tube where you can not move, bed sheets are from 1980s or prison). - Resort personnel do not know basic informations about activities around! We asked about kayak rents, reception mentioned that kayak rent is closed, while it was not! - Restaurant capacity - Restaurant near reception is not having enough capacity for amount of people - even resort was not full, resto was booked for 2days rolling…

Despite bad weather the location had enough to offer to make our stay unforgettable

Very peaceful village. Houses have either lake view or are located next to a natural pond. Very pretty and spacious. Well illuminated by night. Great app with information and to follow up on all the activities. Easy reservations

Not enough benches along the walking path for elder people and not enough waste bins. Beach area with supervised swimming area is quite small

We have 6 children from 1yrs to 14 and the activities were brilliant. We have come back having made the best memories and the children have had the best time!

Great location with fun activites but the hotel mgt is stingy with their welcome pack

Great location cuddles up perfectly to the lake. Great areas to walk,hike or just bike trips. The place does have a restaurant with access via reservation only although we didnt try it. There is a place for snacks and drinks. In espace you could try kayaking and other fun activities.

Toileteries provided are very limited. In fact they only provide those stuffs which can keep the place clean such as dishwasher tablets, cleaning clothes etc. But for instance they provided just 1 toilet paper roll. Remember we had booked a villa for 2 nights and there were 4 adults. The place had 2 toilets and still 1 toilet paper??!! Upon asking they say we have to collect it from the supermarket which is like 5kms away! For the money you take (with no breakfast and dinner), this is the least you can do! Not to mention, you dont even provide shampoo or shower gels??? I wonder whether large famolies visiting the place have the same issues?

loved it and will definitely return again but in the summer when everything is open in season rather than closed as out

property was great, we were catered for brilliantly asking to be near family and we were literally next door. Bar staff were amazing, kept us entertained every evening and even managed to fit a group of 11 of us in last minute for dinner.

hot water tank should be replaced with combi boiler, running out of hot water was not great and took a long time to refill hit even on boost.

Everything is good except at the check-inn they told me to get a invoice after your stay. They will send it by email. I was there for work so I need an invoice. Now one week later still got nothing. That should be Faster!

A modern villa with a view on the lake

The villa was clean and modern with a nice view.

The surrounding houses and green area weren’t completed yet. There wasn’t a lot of atmosphere. Maybe in Summer it will be ready and everything will look different

Good small Villa

Good location, lots of cycle and walking trails nearby. Small Villa is well equipped with appliances and fits well for comfortable stay of 2 adults and 2 kids.

There is a welcome pack available for Villa visitors but soap and shampoo is not available there. You can't purchase it onsite as well.

We were looking for a swimming pool but this hotal has none. Disappointed.

Villa we stayed in was comfy, clean, nice location, close parking. Nice barbeque area.

Breakfast and the food in general was not that great. Limited number of options for breakfast. For the breakfast price i expect it to be at least tasty. Croussains its better to buy somewhere else in the morning (drive to the nearest city), pan chocolate is not a pan chocolate. Fried eggs oversalted, fruit salad expired. Its eatable but it didn't meet the expectations. Also this hotel has no swimming pool, so it is a description fail. There is a public swimming pool nearby (1km away) but that's not the same as indoor swimming pool in the hotel, it was closed anyway without mentioning it in description. Beware - check yourself in advance if you want to swim.
