Casa da Mata was one of 3 stops on our 2 week exploration of Portugal. We had an amazing stay! The house was perfect - sooooo much space for our family of four. We had everything we needed to feel right at home from a washer for our clothes, a big kitchen to cook meals, and a back patio to sit and enjoy a glass of wine! We loved having our own private parking space. In terms of location within Espinho, the house is only a block from the beach and a short walk to the main area of town. There are tons of restaurants nearby and all the other conveniences you might need. We loved waking up each morning and smelling the grilling that the local restaurants were doing to get ready for lunch and dinner. It smelled so good!
Larger grocery stores are just a short drive or about a 15 minute walk. The train station is also a short walk and we took it a few times to go to Porto. I hope to come back to Espinho and if I do, I'll definitely return to Casa da Mata. Thank you Joana and family for your wonderful hospitality and the delicious sweets.

Wir haben den Aufenthalt sehr genossen. Der Garten mit Sitzgelegenheiten, Grill und Autostellplatz ist sehr schön und praktisch. Das Haus ist nur 100 m vom Strand entfernt. Die Ausstattung bietet alles für einen Familienurlaub. Die Küche ist mit allem ausgestattet, außer Geschirrspülmaschine. Eine Waschmaschine ist auch vorhanden. WLAN ist vorhanden, aber nicht sehr weitreichend.

Dommage que la porte d'entrée ne soit pas isolée, et à l'arrière odeur de poissons grillés dû au restaurant voisin (impossible de manger dehors)
