Hotel Gran Fanes

Very nice hotel exceeding 3s stars category, good variety of food, very kind staff, clean and nice rooms and facilities. Great shuttle service to the ski lifts.

The cleaning lady made the bed in the morning despite being explicitly asked not to (written note on the bed and note at the reception). Everything else exceeded expectations.

Location is good . They have built an addition to the hotel , those rooms are lovely. Unfortunately we were not given one of those rooms.

The hotel tried to charge us an additional €30 per person to use the swimming pool/spa . They charged 5 x star prices for a 2 x star room and service. We only booked the hotel because it had a pool.

The room was exquisite, the view excellent and the bathroom had heated floors. The spa is amazing, super clean and comfortable. The staff was very very friendly and the breakfast was to die for, full spread! We should have stayed all the nights there.

During our stay - two very unpleasant things happened 1) We booked half-board even though I informed the hotel 3 days in advance that due to excessive travel we would arrive late at night and do not want dinner on the first day. They still wanted us to pay for it even though no dinner was provided. This I found very rude and unprofessional. 2) When I was searching for the hotel I was only looking for a hotel with a nice pool as I traveled with my kids 9 and 12 years old and I wanted to have a good family time with them in the pool. This is why I booked Grand Fanes. The only thing that was important for me was the pool so I could spend holiday time with my kids there. Unfortunately when we wanted to go to the pool we were told the pool is accessible only for kids older than 14. But this information was not provided in the hotel policy on booking.com. Mistakes can happen, but they just couldn't care less - no. They also refused to take responsibility for information they provided on booking.com. They did not provide even a symbolic discount. Also there was another client complaining about some issues with the booking at the reception so obviously this is not coincidence there is a systemic issue there. To sum up - the approach in the hotel is “we only want your money and do not care whether services have been provided or how you feel”. AVOID THIS PLACE

Everything was just perfect at this place , the staff , the spa , the hotel localisation , the room itself was huuuge and very comfortable. The bed was firm and comfy as well, a big bed not to single bed aligned ! The dinner - half board- was beyond our wildest imagination We got a great plate of delicious snacks, meat and cheese even before the soup. And after you get 2 main dishes…. And a dessert At the end we were almost ruptured / blasted from the delices…. The best /really it is / hotel we have stayed in the Dolomites so far …. /3 years of summer trips to the Italian Dolomites /

There were none! Absolutely everything was just so perfect. Only if heavy rain falls /and ice as it has fallen when we were there/, an underground parking would be nice .

Super friendly staff and this was my 6 visit at Gran Fanes. Really lovely plade in the Herat of the dolomites. If you’re going with bikes this is just amazing. Will come back again and again :)

Absolutely beautiful and tastefully appointed, Hotel Gran Fanes is located a short walk from Boë lift. Breakfast was exceptional with many choices suitable for all palates (French, German, American offerings both hot and cold, sweet and savoury). Dinner was an unexpected delight. the Brazilian chef is outstanding. dishes were varied and each beautifully plated. The staff was friendly and attentive without being obtrusive. The elegant owner is caring, efficient, and has superior customer service skills. Rooms nicely appointed with excellent linens. Balcony was an added bonus with beautiful views and nice to relax after skiing. My son used the wellness center but I didn’t so I can’t review it (he did mention it was nice but at an additional which was unexpected).
