We stayed at Bushtrail Cabin with the gas fireplace, and it was the perfect place for us as a couple looking to relax, disconnect, and simply enjoy being grounded in nature. The cabin can get wonderfully warm, especially with the gas fireplace, which would be a great advantage for anyone who gets cold easily. We were staying at the end of the cabin area and had a convenient shortcut to the visitor centre pathway right on our side. Although there was another cabin nearby, we couldn’t really hear or see our neighbours because of the thick bushes, which gave us a lovely sense of privacy and quiet. We were lucky enough to have majestic weather during our stay and managed to complete all the treks we had planned. We even had wallabies and birds visiting around our cabin, and our end of the area was incredibly peaceful. The bed deserves a special mention it was so comfortable that I fell asleep almost immediately! The kitchen was also very well equipped and had everything we needed for our stay. The only little challenge was the stove, which we weren’t used to and found a bit tricky to operate. It even singed a few of our baby hairs while we were figuring it out! Thankfully, it didn’t turn into anything worse, and it became one of those funny little moments that added to our memorable adventure. We originally expected to experience snow during our stay, but instead, we were blessed with some of the clearest and most beautiful weather we could have asked for. Overall, Bushtrail Cabin was exactly what we needed a warm, quiet, comfortable base surrounded by nature. We absolutely loved our stay and would happily come back.
The only thing we found a little challenging was the stove, as we weren’t familiar with that type of cooking stove. It took us some time to figure out how to use it, and we even managed to singe a few baby hairs while learning! Thankfully, nothing serious happened, and it became a funny part of our adventure. However, clearer instructions or a simple guide for first-time users would definitely be helpful, particularly from a safety perspective. Other than that, we honestly had a wonderful stay and didn’t have any major complaints.
