Very professional, well-located, cozy hotel

The receptionist made our day. She was kind and helpful, got us everything we needed. Personal, attentive, and very professional service (and in English too!) The hotel itself is clean, the room is as described in the listing. The location is prime, right in the middle of pretty Beaugency.

The hotel could use some sound-proofing. And the rooms would benefit from a kettle and a towel dryer. Note that we did get a kettle from the reception ❤️

Good passing through hotel, forget the breakfast

Authentic building and is conveniently located in the very centre of this lovely town. The hotel needs a serious upgrade of far flown times. But for a short stay logement it is just fine. Staff is friendly and the room was neat and freshly prepared.

Helas no parking is available but during night time you can park in neighbouring streets for free. Never in the yellow stripes 😊 I would not bother with the €10 additional fee for the breakfast; that was a pity. For the same money or less you can grab fresh authentic croissants or pastry in the bakery some minutes walking distance to the town market place. There is also a lovely coffee/tea bar on the same spot. The hotel breakfast is helas mainstream, out of a box or a big factory. They kindly ask for pancakes in the morning and then it seems these come right out of their plastic packaging. France = crêpes! And you serve industrial pancakes, while it is quite easy to make these fresh. And a quick win for customers :)

Location was great.Breakfast was tasty and more than adequate. Bed was comfortable. Good garage fro bikes.

The walls are thin. When folks in the next room showered, flushed, or ran the water in the sink, it sounded like it came from our bedroom. The hotel is siuated on a street corner and our room windows looked out on these streets. As it was Saturday night, the car and motorcycle noise didn't let up until after 2 am.

Even though we had to pay for the breakfast which I guess is a concept for most places these days it was still quite a nice breakfast. The place was very homely and comfortable.

Quiet place, clean and with a very fair quality / price ratio. Perfect place to spend one night, have good rest and continue your journey. Owner was nice enough to prepare breakfast 30 min before so we could continue our journey next day earlier. Will most probably repeat if they keep the same.

The room I got was small, no wardrobe so maybe not the greatest for few days. The breakfast is fair, maybe bit overpriced for what you get.

A room with a view ???

It's perfectly situated in the town for us. I have been visiting the town for 24 years this year.

What disappointed was the very small room, a separate toilet where its impossible to use the toilet without banging your head on the door ! Very little room also in the separate bathroom, nowhere to store shaving, brush, soap, toothbrush and paste, let alone deodorant. I appreciate the price was low but there are some things that you can't get round.

The owner was extremely helpful and on the day of our departure gave us facilities to watch the Queen’s funeral which we would otherwise have missed. Altogether an excellent stay. We would recommend this hotel.

Very friendly and accommodating staff. Great breakfast with wide variety of food. Great location from which to explore a beautiful town and historic buildings. Lovely small hotel located in a relatively quiet spot.

Would have preferred freshly brewed coffee, rather than drinks dispensed from a machine. A small kettle in the room would be a great benefit.

Great stopover in a beautiful town.

Ideal stopover location from the UK. Hotel is very pretty, staff excellent, rooms fine. Parking is on streets around the hotel. Loads of choice of restaurants, beautiful little town, perfect to stroll round after a long drive. Really interesting digital art exhibition in the château, which we all loved including the kids.

Difficult to find a car park as there are none available round the hotel. The rooms are badly soundproofed. The mattresses are VERY hard!

Disappointing

(too) friendly staff, excellent breakfast

Maintenance of covid measures was far below expectations in terms of ventilation, mouth mask usage, and distance, as many French guests in the breakfast room came too close, speaking and coughing loudly while walking without mask, without intervention by the staff. We had to intervene ourselves. Not acceptable in the current era. Room was extremely small with a tiny bed. Too small for the average European couple. Also bathroom was too small with a small shower cabin. Next time we'll stay in Beaugency, we'll pick another hotel.
