I really liked my stay at Hotel Villa Nova in Neum. The location was very central, making it easy to get around and enjoy the town. One of the highlights was the amazing swimming hub that’s available exclusively for hotel guests — it made the stay feel extra special. The breakfast was decent and satisfying, and I really enjoyed the nice view from the balcony, which added a relaxing touch to the experience.

There were a few aspects of my stay at Hotel Villa Nova that I didn’t enjoy. The on-site parking was extremely tight, and on one occasion we were boxed in by another car. Since the staff couldn’t locate the owner, we ended up having to crawl in through the trunk just to reach the driver’s seat, which was very inconvenient. Another issue was the inconsistency in the rooms — I booked with a friend, and while my room was fine, his was severely outdated and old, despite us both paying the same price. Lastly, while the staff were cordial to my Balkan friend, their attitude toward me as an English speaker unfortunately felt hostile, which made parts of the experience uncomfortable.

We loves the hotel in general. The rooms were well equipped, the food was super delicious, the portions were great. The staff was helpful and extraordinarily kind to small children.

We did not know that we should climd a lot of stairs in order to reach the restaurant. It was difficult for our parents.

Very disappointed!

On vacation, the last thing you expect is to be misled by a hotel, yet that’s what happened to us. We paid a premium for a large double room with a balcony and sea view but were given a small sea-view room instead. When we complained, staff rudely told us to choose between the bigger room without a view or the smaller one we got. The phone in our room didn’t work, and we were blamed for raising the issue at 5pm instead of 2pm, even though we had stepped out for lunch right after check-in. Guests shouldn’t have to compare photos to confirm they’re getting what they paid for.

Nice view of the sea, friendly staff, large and comfortable room, hotel pool, varied selection of food for breakfast, hotel restaurant located on the beach.

More vegetarian dishes for dinner, a little bit complicated parking, but receptionist helped us.

Lovely Affordable Hotel - Perfect to Relax

Gorgeous views over looking the sea, lovely swimming pool/ right on the water which in Neum is a must as the public beach is overcrowded. Quiet location but near shops/ bakery/ mini supermarket

As others have said: - breakfast is very underwhelming for this kind of hotel. We only ate once and then went to the bakery across the road instead delicious (and cheap!) pastries. - the ladders going to the beach: one at the end of the platform in particular is completely rusted / we cut ourselves multiple times on this! Serious hazard with children!

Beautiful hotel with amazing stuff

These negative reviews are not fair. Just read a little better what you get in the price when you book a room and that's it. It may not be fair that the sunbeds on the beach are not included in the price, but no one was deceived, everything was explained nicely. The staff is kind, even too kind. From reception to the waiters and cleaning staff they are all so so good. They don't give up on any problem until they solve it. The hotel is clean and constantly smells wonderful from the entrance. Everything is very clean. The price of the dinner is ok considering the prices in other restaurants. We were afraid of the owner, considering the comments about him, but we didn't even see that man during our entire stay there, we had no need for it, so I really don't understand these negative reviews about him. 😁😁 We will recommend this hotel in future.

Perfect Beach Holiday

The Hotel is really comfortable, clean and everything looks really new and high class. The private beach is a good opportunity to spend relaxed and calm days at the beach without too much people around. The staff at the reception is really helpful, professional and kind. They even helped us to book bus tickets back to Sarajevo.

Location, Friendly staff, Pool and Beach!

Location of this property is excellent and the staff are so kind and lovely. During the stay and before we even arrived they were so helpful with answering questions and organising taxi transfers for us. The rooms are clean and tidy with all you would need for a nice beach stay in Neum. The private beach offered by the hotel is excellent to stay away from the busy crowded beaches of Neum. I would stay at this hotel again! Close by to all! The pool area is also very well equipped with a warm shower and panoramic views.
