Very clean and spacious. Staff spoke English which must be a great relief for foreigners who stay. Great breakfast with many small dishes. I tried the cave hot spring which was calming and very relaxing. I highly recommend.

Amazing location, perfect to check into after that shrine workout. Please try both the cave and Roman baths if you can, they are phenomenal. Check out the museum as well! The staff there was extremely professional, kind, and hospitable. I had a lot of questions as it was my first ryokan stay and they made sure all of them were resolved. Can’t forget about the view. If the weather was a bit better and Mt.Fuji was visible then it would have been even more amazing. Still was phenomenal regardless. Highly recommend and would book again!

Staff were so nice- limited English, but you should always try to speak Japanese when you travel here! Breakfast and stay was traditional, but exceeded our expectations. Our room was a basic one, with breakfast included, and it had a gorgeous view of Fuji san. What a brilliant place. Great location too. Seriously would stay again.

I saw a spider in the room, but that was about it! Older building, so that’s expected.
