Top location, modern design, very quite and excellent restaurant

Location is top, right next to the lake with sun beds and direct access for swimming and paddle boarding. Hotel rents out bikes as well. Staff is helpful and kind. Very modern, spacious rooms with a fantastic view. Amazing breakfast, very sustainable with cold cuts and egg dishes a la minute. Very healthy granolas and fruits, different types of milk.

A disappointment…

Spacious room, play room for kids

It was a disappointment. I’ve stayed at many-many hotels, including spa hotels in the Alps, and this was the most expensive (just under 400 euro per night) and the worst value for the money we paid. First of all, the pictures are very misleading. It looks like the hotel is right on the lake, but it’s not. Only the smaller building is, the main building with the spa is a walk away from the lake, by a road, and doesn’t have much of a view. This is just unethical. We chose this hotel among many in Tirol just for the lake view. The spa was subpar - small, only a small sauna and steam room (for families), no whirlpool, no kids pool, no view… They didn’t have slippers - we had to walk to and around the spa in sneakers. The breakfast was average at best - not that many options to choose from and didn’t seem like the best quality either. There was no minibar or refreshments, like water or tea kettle/coffee machine in the room.

Questionable infrastructure

Hotel stay could have been great but it wasnt. It had silverbugs everywhere in the bathroom and in the corridors. But its not the worst. Read further! We booked this hotel for wellness offers and chose a lakeview suite… just to learn that spa is 5 mins walk away in other building!!! So was yoga in the morning and other activities. It was pouring rain outside all day and night. So we asked to be downgraded to the room in the main building where spa was. Not only they havent offered a refund for the downgraded room - they also wanted to charge us 50 eur for a later checkout. Oh and the first downgraded room they offered us was double room for a party of 3. We said its too small - they suddenly found us a Family room. We wanted to have dinner in their restaurant they only offered us table at 18:30, resoning that 20:00 is completely full. We anyway went there 20:00 and it was half empty. The staff working at the reception desk are young and untrained. On the positive note, the lake side building has great views. Oh wait - we couldn’t stay there because of their false advertising!!

Exceptional

Breakfast was great, lots of variety and too many to choose. From fish to maat, all kind of cheese. Great coffee, yoghurt, different kinds of milk. Sometimes pancakes, wafels or croisants. Fresh bread, sandwiches fruit, juice and so on, and so on.

Wir kommen wieder!

Sehr tolles Haus. In der Regel sehr nette Angestellte, nur beim Frühstück war eine eher unfreundliche Dame zu Gange. Die anderen haben das aber aufgewogen.

Wenn es serviertes Abendessen statt des Büffets gegeben hätte, würde ich dem Hotel volle Punktzahl geben. Das war für uns der einzige Nachteil, weil wir auch fernab des Büffets saßen. Ansonsten wirklich alles tiptop, und auch das ist Geschmacksache.

Sehr komfortables Hotel mit überdurchschnittlichem Wellnessbereich.

Den Wellnessbereich kann man kostenlos am nächsten Tag nutzen, Bademäntel und Handtücher werden vom Hotel bereitgestellt. Parkplatz ebenfalls. Sehr gut für Tagestouristen mit Vorabendanreise. Absolut überdurchschnittlich für die Preisklasse. Es war sogar eine Tischtennisplatte vorhanden, schöner Fitnessraum ist ebenfalls vorhanden, der Pool ist angenehm groß und wärmer als bei den meisten anderen Hotels (könnte ggf. aber trotzdem noch ein bisschen wärmer sein, Geschmackssache), alles sehr modern und sauber. Der etwas alte äußere Eindruck des Hotels täuscht von außen. Innen ist alles modern eingerichtet und renoviert. Zimmer sind geräumig und modern, alles war perfekt sauber. Das Personal am Empfang war sehr freundlich und kompetent.

Das Frühstücksbuffet war bereits um 9.30 Uhr eher etwas aufgebraucht, Müslizutaten waren teils leer, Lachs etwas hart (lag wohl zu lange offen). Geschmacklich aber alles bestens, Auswahl auch gut. Die Kissen im Hotelzimmer sind wirklich sehr klein und dünn, ansonsten aber war das Zimmer überdurchschnittlich groß und komfortabel. Parkplätze sind sehr eng in der Tiefgarage, aber es sind zumindest genügend vorhanden.

Das Hotel ist sehr geschmackvoll eingerichtet und überzeugt mit einer angenehmen, stilvollen Atmosphäre. Besonders hervorzuheben ist das Personal, das stets freundlich, aufmerksam und hilfsbereit ist. Man fühlt sich vom ersten Moment an willkommen und bestens betreut.

Die Topper auf den Betten könnten etwas dicker sein und idealerweise durchgehend über die gesamte Liegefläche reichen – das ist jedoch Jammern auf hohem Niveau und trübt den insgesamt sehr positiven Eindruck kaum.

Frühstück wie immer absolut top. Haben auch einen sehr schönen Sitzplatz bekommen. Zimmer war top. An der Bar im Aktivresort wie immer lustig und schneller guter Service

Der Service und auch das Essen im Restaurant am See war leider nicht genügend. Die Speisen waren entweder zäh (Gänsekeule) oder haben nach nichts geschmeckt (Karamellisierter Ziegenfrischkäse I Tagliatelli mit Garnelen). Auch waren die Vorhänge vor den schönen Fenstern mit dem romantischen Blick auf den See zu. Dadurch hat das Restaurant auch von der Stimmung deutlich an Wert verloren. Der See ist ja eigentlich der Reason Why warum man in das Restaurant geht. Auch schade ist das durch den Neubau des Walchsee Lakeside der grosse Komfort im Aktivresort des Fitnessangebots deutlich nachgelassen hat. Der Charme war es auch in der Früh oder am Abend ohne grossen Aufwand Fitnesskurse zu besuchen und danach gleich in den Pool zu hupfen. Im Winter zieht man sich nicht gross um, läuft in der Kälte und Nässe zum Nachbarhotel und nach dem Kurs wieder zurück.

Ruhe, Entspannung und Menschlichkeit

Ich wurde in Rosenheim operiert und wir sind danach spontan zur Regeneration ein paar Tage ins Lakeside. Das Personal war total liebevolll, hilfsbereit und die Reinigungskraft fragte permanent, ob bei mir alles okay ist, es mir besser geht. Das ist bis heute in meinem Kopf geblieben, danke!! Toller erholsamer Ort. Hier stimmt einfach alles!

Wir waren zum zweiten Mal dort und wieder super happy! Tolle Zimmer, unglaublich nettes Personal, eine Ruhe, die wir sonst nirgends finden, eine beeindruckende Aussicht und eine wunderschöne Einrichtung. Es gibt absolut gar nicht, was wir beanstanden könnten! Wir kommen wieder !!

Enttäuschend!!!

Das Zimmer war zwar klein aber sauber. Das Frühstücksbuffet war reichhaltig.

Wir sind am 31.12. mit einem befreundeten Ehepaar angereist. Unsere Zimmer befanden sich im Haupthaus, dem Walchsee-Resort. Das zusätzlich gebuchte Silvester Dinner fand im Walchsee-Resort Lakeside statt. Wir kannten das Lakeside und reservierten einen Tisch direkt an der Fensterfront mit Blick auf den See. Nun folgt eine Aufzählung der erlebten Enttäuschungen: 1. Um ca. 20 Uhr wurden sämtliche Vorhänge zugezogen. Der Blick auf den See und auf die gegenüberliegenden Lichter des Terassen-Campingplatzes hatte sich somit erledigt. Warum dies erfolgte wurde nicht erklärt. 2. Mit dem Start der warmen Speisefolge wurde auf das Eintreffen der Inhaberfamilie gewartet, die ebenfalls an dem Dinner teilnahm. Dadurch hat sich der ganze weitere Ablauf verzögert. 3. Diese Familie saß mit versteinerten Minen an exponierter Stelle im Saal. Das ganze vermittelte den Eindruck einer Königsfamilie, die Hof hält und man selbst fühlte sich nicht als Gast, sondern als Vasallle. 4. Ohne auf das Ende des verspäteten Dinners zu warten, fing dann kurz nach 22 Uhr ein junger DJ an "seine" Musik aufzulegen. Diese Musik hätte zu einer Rave-Party gepasst aber nicht zu einem gediegenen Silvesterdinner. 5. Wir baten darum die Musik doch zumindest noch während des Essens etwas zu dämmen und erfuhren von der wirklich sehr netten Servicekraft man würde es weitergeben aber da es sich um einen Spross der Inhaberfamilie handelte, würde unsere Bitte vermutlich versanden!!! 6. Eine Unterhaltung war nicht mehr möglich. Wir haben dann noch bis Mitternacht durchgehalten um das avisierte Feuerwerk zu sehen, was allerdings lächerlich war, so dass wir einige Minuten später auf unsere Zimmer gingen. Fazit: Unabhängig von der Übernachtung hat das Silvester-Dinner pro Person 165€ zzgl. Getränke gekostet.

Schöne Woche mit kleinen Fehlern.

Sehr sehr nettes freundliches und hilfsbereites Personal, Spabereich sehr schön, alles sehr sauber … Vorallem gute Lage am See und Ort, und mit Tiefgarage. Aber sehr sehr gute Küche, immer mit guter Auswahl am Büffetbereich, sowohl morgens und Abends.

Bei einem Deluxe Zimmer war ich erstaunt dass es keinen Kühlschrank gab, keine Getränke am Zimmer. Und was noch ungewöhnlich ist, dass man an der Rezeption am Abend vorher sagen muss ob man das Zimmer am nächsten Tag gereinigt und Betten gemacht haben möchte !! Noch nie in einem 4 Sternehotel erlebt. Und ein Badetuch für den Poolbereich muss man auch an der Rezeption erbitten. Auch sehr ungewöhnlich!

Schön für ein verlängertes Wochenende.

Unser Zimmer hat uns gut gefallen. Die Nähe zum See ist toll. Das Personal beim Frühstück war sehr freundlich.

Die Raumtemperartur im Ruheraum / Wellnessbereich war dieses Mal recht frisch. In der Bar hat es in der Vergangenheit immer eine kleine Abendkarte mit leckeren Gerichten gegeben, das gibt es wohl nicht mehr. Schade. Gleiches gilt für den Entsafter beim Frühstück und Schuhe für den Wellnessbereich. Auf Nachfrage an der Rezeption antwortete die Dame lächelnd, dass es das wohl alles nicht mehr geben würde. Das ist Schade, wir waren schon oft hier zu Gast und kennen das vom Hotel Walchsee eigentlich anders.
