Spectacular villa close to Volterra!

Fabulous location right outside city gates. Beautiful villa, tastefully decorated, extremely comfortable bed.

Great location within minutes walk from the historic center of Volterra but still outside the restricted driving zone. Free parking on the property was a great plus.

historical and nice property with amenities. good parking space - big window - security is good. Good owner catering to needs of costumers - fabricio.

nothing the owner can do but neighbour is renovating and cutting tree so every day we had strong noise from deck. also on corner so mopeds are roaring along like electric razors :)

Quiet, downhill from the city gate, with onsite parking

Driving around the Volterra region can be challenging, but we had no problem in finding the Villa. We greatly appreciated having on-site parking! Host was on-hand to welcome us, and help with taking luggage up the stairs. The apartment was spacious, and comfortable. It's 10-15 minutes' walk uphill to the old town to find breakfast (but the view is stunning!) Volterra is great for a two-night stay. Plenty of good restaurants. Amazing views. Etruscan museum. While we there, they held a flag-tossing pageant!

The bathroom-inside-a-bedroom, separated only by a partition wall, is not ideal. Another time we might prefer to stay within the walls: it would save us time, and allow us to come back for a change of clothes, but we would then have the problem of where to park a car.

Excellent location just walk to the Historic Center! This place is amaizing beautiful!! And the people so nice and helpful. The rooms are big and beautiful and the view is espectacular!!!

A beautiful apartment very close to the walled town of Volterra ( 5/10min walk). The apartment is so spacious and well equipped with everything you need for a comfortable stay. The gardens are beautifully maintained too. Just the most perfect place to stay if visiting Volterra.

Nice apartment in old villa with great views

Apartment with a big terrace from where you can enjoy the excellent views of the valley on one side and the Volterra fortress on the other side. Easy and pleasant communication with the host (Inge). Apartment is decorated in the way like it was built initially at the beginning of 20th century with painted ceilings, big wooden window blinds and antique furniture.

A bit more attention to details would make the apartment experience nicer. Cleaning could also be a bit better, especially the available dishes. And I would also recommend replacing the existing cutlery with a new one.

We loved our stay here & highly recommend it!

Inge & Patrizio are exceptionally friendly, knowledgeable hosts! This traditional Tuscan villa is located in a quiet area just a few meters from the heart of Volterra’s historic center. UNESCO sites & family-run restaurants are all easily walkable from this location.

The bathroom is in need of a noise buffering element. Such as a fan. Turning on the water did the trick, however.

Amazing Tuscan house with beautiful views and great hosts.

We loved the Tuscan vibe of this property, lovely for our one night stop over. The property was so close (walking distance) from the main Volterra centre and Inge was so lovely showing us a map and suggestions of restaurants and cafes. The hosts were more than accomodating and even assisted us with our travel plans. Thanks again

Incredible, wish we could have stayed longer.

The location is perfect! Outside of the historic center but a beautiful and easy walk to get there (stairs are involved though). Host was wonderful, and the property is beyond lovely.

Slightly hard to find, for an American not used to Italian roads that don’t look like roads. Haha But so worth it!

Lovely staff and very accommodating

Beautiful looking villa and had on site parking which was a real bonus. The 3 staff we met were lovely and very accommodating. Thank goodness the heating was on as the weather was atrocious.

We looked in another room/suite which was absolutely stunning and by comparison our suite felt a little mismatched/shabby compared to the other.

Surprised by good reviews, awful

We were extremely surprised at the good reviews. We were 4 - 2 slept on an incredibly uncomfortable couch. There were 2 living spaces separated by a loud door. One of the spaces had a bathroom with a fake wall - it did not reach to the ceiling. So you hear EVERYTHING - people going to the bathroom, showering etc LOUDLY. The bathroom door also closes loudly, nothing you can do about it. Do NOT come here with a big car - the entrance to the parking is extremely narrow.

It was cold - its a big house so we had to ask for the heating to be turned up. The lounge lacked a coffee table, homely lighting and a decent well situated TV. Could have done with an additional heater.

Lovely property and would be even more enjoyable to stay in the summer to be able to use the fantastic balcony

Wonderful location- easy walk into town and beautiful large rooms and balcony.

Bathroom could use improvement. Window didn’t close entirely and they could have left us more toilet paper. Sofabed was fine but we ended up putting the mattress on the floor which was more comfortable as the springs squeaked a lot! The mattress was fantastic however so this worked well.

Like a romantic movie set

The bus stopped just up the street. Very nice welcome from the couple that runs the place. We really appreciated eating breakfast in the beautiful garden. A nice and short walk to the center of town. Would love to stay here again.

Every single thing. The location, the villa, the garden, the apartment on the inside. Clean, big, open space. Clean bathroom. Great staff. Patricio was such a nice host. Great automatic system to check-in on your own.

Only thing I would suggest is to add a rug to the living room (interior designer’s opinion) also considering the tiles are cold during the night.

Elegant historic building with views!

loved the location - just a short walk up to the main city. the views out the window were amazing! the check in was easy. having a couple of complementary water bottle and a small fridge in the room was great.

I wish the owner would consider some small amenities. Shampoo, a small piece of soap for the shower, or perhaps some body wash. As a bike traveler, we carry very little in our packs . . .
