Lovely apartment inside a villa with big soaring ceilings & terrific view over the Tuscan valley from the outdoor balcony. The hosts were flexible with our arrival time & very helpful & communicative

We stayed for two nights in January, 2026. The apartment is on a property within easy walking distance of the historic center of Volterra, so it's quite convenient. The place was clean and well-appointed (with a particularly nice bathroom), the bedding and linens were comfy, and the hosts, Inga and Patrizio, were helpful and kind--Patrizio even graciously gave us a ride to the bus on the day that we left (we ended up using public transportation after originally planning to drive, but observed plenty of room on-site for parking). During the "high season" of summer, the location of this place--close to, but not inside of, the city center--would be especially desirable: close enough to walk to everything, but away from tourist hordes, and quiet at night.
We had no complaints. We were traveling in the winter, so we experienced rainy/cloudy/misty weather ideal for the setting of "New Moon." It would have been nice to see what the place is like on a sunny, golden afternoon. The building is beautiful, and the grounds around it are pleasant.
