Hotel Cavour

Staff were very helpful. Laid on an early breakfast. Location was convenient

Weird bugs in the bathroom and shower. Not sure what they were, but would not go back as a result.

For a two star hotel this was excellent. It is very close to the station which suited us, but still not a long walk from the rest of town. The rooms was a good size and spotlessly clean. Breakfast was very adequate with lots of good coffee.

Location, the hotel is a few minutes walk from the town which has lots of restaurants to choose from, it’s a really vibrant place. The staff are really excellent and can’t do enough for you. We were able to park our motorcycle in the garage for safety too. The breakfast was continental and very good. Our room was small but comfortable and clean.

There’s a bar next door which we didn’t try but the groups of African men hanging around outside the bar and along the walk to town made us feel uncomfortable.

Friendly, beautiful ladies at reception. 2 steps from the train station. All ok, breakfast man was lovely, made a big cappuccino for me to start the day well. Thank you :-))

The location is perfect: Asti is a beautiful and exciting town but since Hotel Cavour is located next to the train station, it can also be the perfect base for exploring the region. The Hotel itself is really pleasant and cosy - of course, no luxury but I have seen four-star hotels in worse condition. My room was comfortable and clean, and the reasonable price included a breakfast also. The staff is very helpful and friendly, they create a warm and welcoming atmosphere.

The walls are very thin, even the conversation can be heard from the neighbouring rooms - as is unfortunately the case in many hotel buildings. It's worth bringing earplugs or - if it is possible - asking for a room where there are no neighbours.

The hotel is in a central location nearby the railway station but very quiet and with a private parking inside a court

It's a family run hotel so everything seems to be done with a lot of care. Nadia at the Reception was very friendly and helpful and her elderly parents, obviously the founders, were also on hand to greet the guests, so the whole atmosphere was like being in a "family"!. My single room (101) was of an adequate size and newly refurbished. The shower was modern and in perfect working condition! My travel companions' double room (108) was of a good size, with a balcony and with a similarly good shower! Breakfast, mostly Continental, was adequate. Everything was very clean and in good order. The hotel is right in front of the Railway Station and a short walk away from all the cities' main attractions. The Tourist Board map available at the hotel desk shows them on the map with a brief description of each, which we found very helpful. Plenty of restaurants and bars also within walking distance. There is a parking right in front of the hotel, with Parking metres, but we were lucky enough that there was a space available in their own parking, free of charge. Although it is classified as a 2-star hotel, it could really be a 3 star. If we ever go back to Asti, we would certainly go back to the same hotel.

Being in front of the Railway Station, the area around the hotel seems a bit daunting at first, but we found it was not a problem and in the evening it quietens down.
