Le Jardin de Mazan

Eric und Agnes sind tolle Gastgeber! Das Frühstück war sehr grandios: selbstgemachte Marmelade, frische Croissants und Gebäck, Eierspeisen, Obst, Müsli und Joghurt, einfach perfekt. Alles im Garten serviert:) Der Garten ist ein Traum mit Pool und gemütlicher Atmosphäre. Der Aufenthalt wird uns noch lange in Erinnerung bleiben und vielleicht kommen wir ja mal wieder…

Simply perfect!!!!! If one speaks about Hospitality and taking care of a guest, one has to come and learn from Agnes and Eric! They are the essence of what taking care of someone as a host. They have made my last minute trip perfect. Their breakfast, their recommendations of restaurants, cycling route recommendations, their beautiful House. Couldn’t recommend more this place! Simply amazing!

Jardin de Mazan is a beautiful property that fully exceeded my expectations. The breakfast was delicious, served poolside in the beautiful garden. The room was very clean and had everything we needed. Loved the honesty policy too for food / drinks outside of breakfast.

Mazan is a sleepy little village not that pretty in itself but the surrouding villages and area, make up for that. Our room was comortable and had the charm of the old building it is, breakfast was good

We knew before we arrived Le Jardin de Mazan that parking, was not that easy before we arrived and were prepared for that to be the case. Some guests parked in the limited space right outside we tried to be courteous to others and asked Eric where we could park and he directed us to outside the walls. We made a point of telling him exactly where we had parked in the outside square along with other cars but not marked locals only. We received a parking notice which unfortunately for us was only found after we had driven away on our final day. It basically said to appeal we would need to contact the authorities in person, being such a small town and as Eric had told us we were OK to park there we thought he would do that for us. But no in communication with him he wiped his hands of it and told us he '"was not aware that we would get a parking ticket there" Extraordinary as they have been there 10 years and I find it hard to believe he wouldn't know that. There was no offer of compensation, or real apology they just wished we would forget it and move on. We stay in many places and parking is usually included in where we stay in this instance it wasn’t and that is precisely why we made a real point of asking them where to park, to ensure we got it right. By the time the actual ticket reaches us back in New Zealand there will most likely be additional penalties to go with it. Eric and Agnes should and could have handled this in a far more courteous manner. A warning for others thinking of going there with a car.
