We really enjoyed our stay here and were impressed by the care and attention to both the design of the space and the detailed instructions. The apartment is full of all the things which come in handy and the beds are very comfortable. The views from the large balcony are stunning. Costanza was really quick to answer all our queries, though almost everything is covered in detail in the two information packs provided, including helpful photos to identify where everything is. We knew we would be further away from the village, but as we are quick walkers just took the road down in around 15 minutes. The short cut looked improbable in the snow. Parking is tricky, as others have said. It was warm on our second day so we cleared the drive and managed to get the car into the garage (shovel inside). The columns in the garage make it difficult and you will need someone to direct you. Also in the winter it really wasn’t possible to park on the grass verge indicated. There is plenty of parking in the village below though. The ‘hobbit room is very low, as indicated in the description but perfectly usable if you take care. Valtournenche is brilliant, as it is a proper village with real character and everyone is so friendly. Top tip - book your skis from the small shop on the main road, just by the turn off for the ski lift (use Skimium). The owner puts your gear out every morning (we even had our own boots) and you can then walk through the car park straight onto the return piste. Thanks for making our stay so special.

This is the second time we have stayed at Constanza’s place. There were 5 of us and we really like the apartment. It has incredible views and is extremely convenient for the Salette ski lift and Valtournenche restaurants/shops. We will no doubt want to come again!

Great location, nice and cozy apt with great views, lots of natural light and balcony. Short walk to ski lift and short drive to Cervinias other treasures.

This is a cosy apartment, with all the basics you need for a holiday. It is up above the main village and has great views from the balcony. Ideal accommodation for a couple, or family with young children. The owner was very helpful at all times- both before and during our stay. We were exceptionally lucky with the weather and spent almost every day walking in the mountains. A lovely holiday- thank you!

It was pleasure to stay in Costanzas apartment. It was very close to ski lift - ca 1,3km, so 3 min car drive.Garage was very small, we didn't fit our car inside, so kept car front of the house, but it was not a problem. Apartment has a nice balcony where we enjoyed afternoon sun (sun will go behind mountains ca 17.10 et the end of March). At the current village there are only small and expensive groceries, we made most of the food shopping in Aosta. But generally everything was super.

The apartment is on the top floor of a chalet. It is all warm wood inside and has two glass doors that open from the open living room onto a balcony with good afternoon sun...great for warmth and for drying clothes. The view is to the snow covered peaks of the Gran Murailles. You can not see Monte Cervino (Matterhorn) from here in Valtournenche. However, it’s only a 10- 15 minute drive further up the valley toward Breuil-Cervinia where you can see the magnificent peak. Definitely stop at Lago Bleu for a photo opportunity of Monte Cervino/ Matterhorn reflected in the clear aquamarine lake.Since the apartment is on the top floor the bedroom is under the eaves it does not have standing headroom. There is a very comfortable double bed at one end with sitting room only over the top part of the bed. At the other end of the room there are two twin beds.We slept very well here but we are used to living in a sailboat and a camper. So it depends on what you are able to handle. However, there are two twin bed size sleeping couches in the main room that can be used for beds too. Here you have full headroom and there is an excellent closet with good storage.We really appreciated the washing machine. There is also a dishwasher if you choose to use it.The owner Costanza lives in Milan but is very responsive to any questions about the property. She has an excellent information booklet on the apartment and she sends this by e-mail before your arrival.We loved the excellent location being 5 min. Outside of town with a good view of mountains and the valley & village of Valtournenche below. There are many hikes in the area with beautiful views. We especially enjoyed the trail 13 from Cervinia up toward the hut for Monte Cervino/ Matterhorn. There are great views of the mountain as you hike up. Another beautiful spot was up the road from the apartment toward Cheneil. There is a large parking area at Barmaz and a free small funicular that takes you up to the village. Great views and several hiking options. South of Valtournenche is a cable car which takes you up to the quaint village of Chamois. From there it’s a short but steep hike up to Lago Lod. For a mellow hike with great views we recommend trail 6 called the rus trail which loops out from the lake then back toward the village.Valtournenche has everything you need from a small but well equipped supermarket to bakeries, restaurants and bars for eating. Cervinia is closed until July 1st.

Wonderful cosy chalet apartment full of character. Amazing views from windows/balcony! Really made our holiday special. Clear helpful instructions provided by Costanza ... as well as some excellent restaurant recommendations! My husband and I slept very well in the “hobbit” room :) The apartment’s situation is a little up the hill from the village centre but it is an easy walk down and up and affords beautiful views of the valley and mountains. Costanza replied promptly to all our enquiries and was always so helpful even offering to book our first night restaurant for us. Thank you! We really hope to be back next year :)

My fiance and I had a wonderful time during our 3 day stay in Valtournenche/Cervinia, and this was a perfect place to stay. It was very clean. The view was incredible. And the owner was very easy to work with, and gave us all the information needed. Thank you for a wonderful stay.

Perfect spot to stay for our skiing trip to Valtournenche. The chalet had everything you needed for self catering. Lovely view. Warm & cosy. Would recommend a stay.

This is a lovely apartment; well-equipped and homely, in a beautiful, characterful alpine village. Easy access to the gondola which takes you directly to the ski slopes above Salette, leading to the main Breuil-Cervinia and Zermatt ski areas. We had a glorious week of blue skies, and warm weather, but with enough late season snow for good skiing too, and the extra bonus of pleasant evening walks as well. Costanza communicated very well, and we felt very welcome. Highly recommended.

Efter overmåde venlig kommunikation med ejeren Costanza, ankom vi igen i år til lejligheden i Valtournence - dette år var vi 4 voksne - og det føltes som at komme hjem. Der er alt hvad man behøver i lejligheden, som også ligger centralt for skiliften, omend man behøver en bil. Lejligheden fremstår meget ren og hyggelig og der er mere end man behøver af diverse udstyr. Den store terrasse med eftermiddagssol er et stort plus. Vi kommer meget gerne igen.

Abbiamo avuto il piacere di tornare in questa accogliente mansarda di montagna e scoprire che Costanza, la proprietaria, ha ascoltato i consigli dei suoi ospiti e alzato il livello di questo piccolo ma accogliente appartamento. Rispetto al nostro precedente soggiorno (inverno 2013) abbiamo trovato: pavimento in legno, serramenti nuovi, termostato elettronico e in ultimo, ma forse il più importante, una doccia al posto della scomoda vasca da bagno. Grazie Costanza di queste migliorie che rendono il rientro dalla sciata -di sci di fondo da Champleve o Torngnon, di discesa da Cime Bianche o Cervinia- un vero piacere. Speriamo di tornarci l’anno prossimo!

Very nice and cozy apartment with very beautiful view over Valtournenche village and mountains. It is suitable to couples and small families or groups of 2-6 people. The apartment was clean and well equipped. The apartment is situated quite near the Valtournenche village. There is also carage which is very useful if it is snowing. Valtournenche village is nice, quite small, but much more genuine than the Breuil Cervinia, which is a bit like Playa del Ingles in the mountains (if you understand what I mean ;)

Klein, maar fijn

De communicatie met Costanza (eigenares) verliep vlot en spontaan. Het appartement en voorzieningen waren zoals beschreven en medegedeeld. Het appartement is volledig in hout opgetrokken en beschikt over een groot terras met fantastisch uitzicht op de bergen en Valtournenche. De meeste voorzieningen zijn aanwezig, al misten we in de keuken wel een microgolfoven. De slaapkamer is erg klein en niet echt geschikt als je claustrofobisch bent. Ideaal voor twee personen. Een auto is enigzins noodzakelijk gezien de ligging van de accomodatie. Garage aanwezig, doch niet toegankelijk vanaf grotere middenklasse wagen. Wel privé parking. Skilift vanuit het dorp op een kleine kilometer. Tip : rij net voorbij de inrit van de parking aan de liften de iets hoger gelegen parking op. Je parkeert direct langs de dalafdaling. Prachtig skigebied (zeker op zijn minst een dagje Zermatt doen.). Alleen de zondag drukker met veel dagjesmensen, anders zeer rustig in het uitgebreide skigebied voor elk wat wils. Een aanrader. Дом, в котором мы остановились, заслуживает самых лестных отзывов. Если Вы хотите почувствовать себя на некоторое время владельцем прекрасного шале, то нужно пожить именно здесь. Молчание окружающих гор и журчание весеннего ручья. Если Вы приехали кататься на лыжах, то удобнее иметь машину. Иначе придется спускаться к остановке автобуса пешком, но это занимает не более 15 минут. А возможность оставлять лыжи на станции подъемника в хранилище превращает такой спуск в приятную прогулку!

Vår familj, 2 vuxna och 3 barn (6, 11, 14) tillbringade en vecka i familjen Bargellinis lägenhet i Valtournenche. När vi kom dit var trägolvet alldeles nylagt och väldigt skönt att gå på. Det var städat och fint och vi kände oss välkomna. Hade vi frågor fick vi snabbt hjälp av Costanza via sms. Lägenheten ligger en bit upp i byn och bil är att rekommendera. Men att lägenheten ligger högt upp gör också att det är väldigt vacker utsikt över alper. Det enda barnen saknade under veckan var wifi... Men å andra sidan läste de flera böcker istället. Byn Valtournence är mysig och har flera restauranger, café, bageri, mataffär, delikatessaffär mm. Valtournenche har bra skidbackar för alla åldrar. Vår 6-åring lärde sig väldigt mycket på bara ett par dagar. Man tar sig lätt över till Cervinia och även Zermatt på skidor, om det inte blåser eller snöar för mycket. Vi kommer gärna tillbaka! Patric & Elisabeth Att tänka på: Hyr man bil i Milano, som vi gjorde, så kräv snökedjor eller ännu hellre vinterdäck! De flesta bilar hyrs ut med sommardäck, helt galet.

The apartment is very nicely decorated . very specious, all appliances work well , it is very comfortable and very clean . The location is great if you come with a car , its just a short drive to the main road for grocery or restaurants and also to the ski lifts. We skied mainly in Cervinia , but there are also closer by lifts just outside Valtournenche. The owner Costanza is very friendly and communication was easy and fluent. I warmly recommend staying in the apartment ! if we decide to ski again in Cervinia we will definitely come back ! We've spent a great week with our family in this appartment. The location is very nice, quiet and still very near the village. If you like apre-ski just linger a little longer in Cervinia (the ski resort of Valtournenche and Cervinia are interconnected. There are 4 beds are in a seperate room under the roof, my husband and son slept like a rose there but I prefered sleep in the very spacious living room. Must be lovely to stay here in summer as well. Skiing and hiking in the shadow of the Matterhorn (Monte Cervino) what more does one need? Great value for money.

The apartment is capable of sleeping six comfortably. The main lounge, kitchen is large and a good view from the balcony. Small oven. The apartment was clean and looked after. Good restaurants in town. Good grocery shops. You need a car to stay here even though it is a short walk to the village. I would recommend to small groups of skiers with a car (chains if it snowed).

We visited Valtournanche in Feb 2009 and found this apartment to be excellent value. The accomodation is spacious, the views are beautiful and the owner is very friendly and helpfull. The apartment has underground parking, excellent storage facilities and has a very good kitchen/dinning room and living quarters. Ideal for relaxing after a days skiing. The main lift at Valtournanche is only a couple of minutes drive away, as is the centre of town. I would not hesitate to recommend this property and I would definately stay here again if I returned to the valley. David
