Quinta do Casal de Santo António

Posto stupendo! Abbiamo fatto colazione nella tavola vicino alla piscina, abbiamo passato veramente una bella vacanza! Peccato non essere rimasti di più! Posto ideale per staccare la spina e rilassarsi! La casa è pulitissima e ben organizzata e accessoriata!

El jardin y piscina, todo el entorno de la Quinta es maravilloso, sólo se oyen pájaros y se duerme de maravilla. El anfitrión pendiente de todo y dando la máxima flexibilidad. Es un sitio muy tranquilo y familiar, pero cerca de la autopista y de todo lo necesario (supermercados, farmacia...)

La verdad es que todo nos gustó, y si podemos volveremos en otra ocasión. Mi nieto habría disfrutado mucho en la piscina pero hacía fresco para bañarse!

A truly positive experience at a wonderful property with fantastic hosts. When you make a booking at Quinta do Casal de Santo Antonio, you are renting a relatively small cottage (as described) in the grounds of a beautiful and expansive property comprising a number of buildings - where various generations of the host family reside - including a small family chapel. Guests are welcome to roam around the gardens and use the lovely swimming pool at the heart of the site (we had it all to ourselves whenever we used it). We stayed for five days at the beginning of July, it was hot of course but not super crazy hot and the temperature within the cottage itself was always comfortable (thick stone walls, etc.). We're a family of two adults and one child, the cottage is designed for no more than four adults in two double/twin rooms. I think another reviewer described the property overall as tranquil, I would agree with that, with birdsong during the day providing an extra connection with nature. Some of the time we just hung loose at the Quinta, but the rest of the time we visited various destinations, all within about an hour or so's drive: Sintra, Ericeira, Nazaré, Cascais and Lisbon. So it's a great place to base yourself and from which to explore, provided you have transport. The Portuguese motorways are great, you pay some moderate tolls but they are of a really high quality. Plenty of shops and restaurant options in both Alenquer and Carregado (nearby towns) but again a car is needed to reach them. We did also use the in-cottage kitchenette for a couple of dinners. If you are staying for a longer duration, be aware that there is no WM in the cottage but there are various launderettes nearby - we found an unmanned, automated 24/7 one in Carregado. Overall, we loved our stay and would not hesitate to recommend the property, with an extra shout out to the host family, who could not have been more welcoming, informative and friendly.

Wifi is a little patchy in the cottage, especially if you need a high speed connection.

Natuurlijk het zwembad dat je voor je alleen hebt. Met 2 jonge kinderen was dit ideaal na een dagje Lissabon. Ook het landgoed zelf waar je op verblijft is erg mooi en rustig.

Het huisje is erg donker en wat verouderd, het ruikt ook een beetje muf binnen. Het is jammer dat er geen zit gelegenheid is gelijk aan het huis maar uit het zicht.
