Delightful Korčula escape

We stayed at Villa Hela for a week and what a week it was. Owners greeted us and they were really nice, helpful and great hosts. The apartment was very clean and spacious. The kitchen is equipped with just about everything. We had all the utensils we could imagine. We had outdoor patio for al fresco dining and terrace for star gazing. It was amazing. The sea is just below the house and 2 minutes walk away. We shall surely return.

Excellent family-run accomodation

Really nice and well-maintained accommodation with everything you need. It has a homey vibe, featuring a recently renovated bathroom and a fully stocked kitchen that includes everything you’d expect in your own home (a gas and electric stove, spices, a vegetable peeler, and other cooking utensils). Everything is tidy and clean, and it’s clear that the owners genuinely care about keeping their guests happy. Communication with the owners is very easy, whether via Booking or WhatsApp. They are extremely kind and will do their best to make you feel at home. The accommodation is located in a quiet part of Lumbarda with very little traffic, which is excellent if you’re looking to relax or if you have children and want them to play safely. To reach the center of Lumbarda, you can take a leisurely 15-minute stroll along the promenade. Just below the apartment is a beach with stairs for easy access to the water, along with loungers provided by the property. A really nice bonus is the option to rent a kayak or bikes if you’d like to be more active while exploring the area. I definitely recommend renting a kayak and visiting the nearby islands, especially Badija.

My only complaint is the bed, the mattress and pillows did not support us well, which resulted in poor sleeping and back aches during some nights. The mattress may be subjective so it may not be a problem for others, but the pillows really easily compress and do not hold up your head. I would encourage changing the pillows for anatomical ones. Besides from that, everything was excellent.

Our stay at Villa Hela was exceptional and it was a perfect way to start our holiday.

The property was amazing! The apartment was very clean with all the essentials if you felt like cooking but with many options of great Resturant’s and winery’s within walking distance there wasn’t much need for cooking. The terrace overlooked the beautiful bay where we swam every morning and watch the m boats come into moor. The whole place a very chilled vibe.

Perfect stay!

Couldn’t have been better! We had a very nice stay, the house is just above the beach so you’ll be in less than a minute in the water. It has all of the necessary amenities and a beautiful garden with view to the sea. It also has AC which is very nice due to the high temperatures in summer.

the host upgraded our stay as they had the penthouse open… it was a breathtaking vista! plenty of space with comfortable beds and pillows and a very nice shower! the hosts are lovely people who went above and beyond to make us feel at home…

Beautiful location, very nice,clean and comfortable rooms with terrace where you can eat and chill.. Everything was clean, and it’s not hot inside so we could sleep well at night. The best part is that you can just go outside of the apartment and jump in to the sea. Sisters that run the Villa are super kind and welcoming.

The apartment was very clean, and comfortable, the lot of equipment was very useful.

We spent a beautiful week in Villa Hela with two children. Warm thanks for the host family! They were very helpful and kind. Lumbarda is a beautiful small city in Korcula. The bay in front of Villa Hella also wonderful. The lookout over the see from the terrace was delightful. In the Villa there is a lot of useful equipment for sports, outside grilling, relaxing.

We were absolutely satisfied.

we loved our stay in lumbarda, also thanks to wonderful hosts in villa hela. the apartment is close to the beach where one can also enjoy the beach chairs that are free of charge to use for vila hela guests. apartment is clean, has everything one needs, great terrace to relax; hosts are very kind, responsive and make your stay very much enjoyable - very high recommendations for the hosts, apartment, and the island of korcula as such!
