About this house rental

La Hannelais is a large detached concerted barn situated at the end of a country lane. The area is designated a conservation area and is covered with woodland where access is allowed for unrestricted walks. Lac Neil is situated close by and also affords views of wild life and fishing. The garden provides a safe play area for children and alfresco dining in seclusion on summer evenings.
Located in Guitte is a local shop where you can purchase fresh bread etc, and a friendly bar. Intermarche supermarket is located in Caulnes about 10 minutes drive away. Dinan can be visited in 20 minutes with open air swimming pool located there in Leon right by the Church and canal. Please call for any queries or questions about the house and the beautiful area.

La Hannelais est une grande grange aménagée située au bout d'une ruelle. La zone est désignée zone de conservation et est couverte de bois où l'accès est autorisé pour les promenades sans restriction. Lac Neil est situé à proximité et offre également des vues sur la vie sauvage et la pêche.
Situé à Guitte est un magasin local où vous pouvez acheter du pain frais, etc., et un bar convivial. Le supermarché Intermarche est situé à Caulnes à environ 10 minutes en voiture. This cottage was selected to provide a characterful property in the countryside where our extended family could come and have a clan gathering. Aided by faultless weather the cottage met our every need. So much so that we didn't do as much travelling in the area as we thought we might because we were quite happy at the cottage and it's environs. Geoff was a great host too - making sure that things were OK along the way. Can't speak too highly of "Le Hannelais"

Fantastic, huge, well equipped property. It is in beautiful countryside with great walks and lake nearby. Have never slept as well even at home. It is very rustic which is exactly to my taste. Highly recommended to those who crave an escape to the country.

The owner, Geoff, could not have been more helpful. Everything was provided for at the property - comfortable bedrooms, a huge living room with lots of games, DVD's and CD's and a rustic kitchen. We greatly enjoyed the peace and quiet - a place to chill out in. Beautiful towns like Dinan are not too far away. The northern coast is a bit of a journey from Gitte but 'doable' if you know your objectives. Check whether the tide is in or out if you want to swim! Locally, the chateau is well worth a visit, with buildings spanning 600 years. Renne is also a great city to visit with a medieval section, an interesting city tour and good restaurants. We brought our own internet dongle to solve the lack of WiFi (not expensive since roaming charges have been capped). Great to have meals outside when it is sunny! Recommended!

We've had several stays at the property, and have never been disappointed. It's a spacious gite and perfect for large parties or family gatherings. It's great for children with a large garden. The kitchen is fully equipped to deal with all the guests. The beaches on the north coast are stunning as is the town of Dinan. We will definitely return and would recommend for a peaceful relaxing holiday close to nature.

It was big, roomy and with nice bedrooms. With 5 children we very much appreciated the table football, the games the videos and the space to play them. We were disappointed not to be able to swim in the river but at that point it's not permitted. It's very isolated but that suited us. The owner was most accommodating and helpful.
