Fantastic, relaxing holiday at Villa Monet, Bordighera! Great villa, lovely town and amazing host.
Villa Monet is a beautiful villa with a lovely pool and gardens and fantastic views of the town of Bordighera and the coast. The owner, Guigliemo, is fantastic. So helpful. He provided restaurant recommendations and even gave us lifts back from town when we could not get a taxi.
The location is great in terms of the views it affords but as it is high up above the town it is a little challenging walking in and out. The 15 minute walk in to town (downhill) is fine, but the paths are steep and uneven. Walking home is far more challenging, especially during the heat of the day. Taxis are quite hard to come by, especially later in the evening. Clearly if you had your own car this would not be a problem. to be fair, our host was amazing in that he offered to pick us up and did so a number of times during the week.
