Chiado 4 is a large open space studio in a building that breathes character. Fully refurbished by the owner architect in 2012, renovation highlighted the charisma of the apartment, reflected in its ceilings with brick arches, 18th Century tiles or the massive front door. Low exposure to natural light was ingeniously compensated for by unique lightning solutions. Attention to details during renovating matches the refined decoration. The final result is a space with unique ambiance, versatility, elegance and coziness.

Separated leisure, sleeping and meals areas were achieved through imaginative architectural and decoration solutions. The kitchen area is modern and well equipped. Bathroom is small but functional. Last but not the least, the apartment has a small patio where meals and/or drinks can be served.

This was an excellent place to stay. Mario and his staff were extremely helpful. The place was perfectly located, clean and charming. I would highly recommend this place to everyone.

The apartment is conveniently located, steps away from attractions, restaurants, and shops and close to the Baixa-Chiado Metro stop and Rossio train station, making it easy to explore the city on foot and via public transportation. The secure, ground floor unit opens onto a narrow, one-block-long street and has a small, rear patio. Natural light is limited, but clever uplighting lighting helps create a pleasant atmosphere. The interesting interior has the character and charm of an older property though some furnishings, fixtures, and finishes show signs of wear and could benefit from refreshing. Mario, the host, was responsive and helpful. He responded quickly to questions and offered advice on local attractions and travel.

Host was very kind and helpful with a map of all of the best local restaurants and areas. We had plenty of space and enjoyed the area we were in!

Location and appears within delightful. However, the bathroom, while functional, is very cosmetically challenged. Our overall opinion was that second hand furniture and lack of minimal invitationally speaks to these providers address
