Andria - Poggio del Regio Tratturo

My accommodation is a typical construction of the places near Castel del Monte UNESCO heritage (reachable on foot), inside the Alta Murgia Park and close to the most beautiful places in Puglia. My accommodation is suitable for nature-loving couples, families (with children) and furry friends (pets) who can run freely within a protected area of 10,000 square meters.
The accommodation is the result of a patient and refined restoration of an ancient Jazzo, a typical accommodation for the shelter of flocks of sheep, along the Regio Tratturo which passes nearby. The ancient dry stone walls that delimit it are still visible. The structure is entirely built with the ancient techniques of local stone, the roof in wood and terracotta, handmade terracotta flooring and outdoor spaces paved with ancient stone chianche. The outdoor spaces and materials used for the restoration respect the environmentally friendly places and the environment. The accommodation consists of a large room with kitchenette, a bathroom, a double bedroom and a wooden mezzanine area with two beds (two more beds are optional if required). Covered external veranda and large parking areas.
Guests can take advantage of the entire estate which extends over approximately 10,000 square meters. , occupied for the largest surface by splendid olive trees, fruit and fields of natural wild herbs, where you can collect the wild vegetables of our Murgia and prepare delicious dishes.
The accommodation is about 300 meters away. from a typical family-run restaurant, 3 km. from Castel del Monte (ancient manor of Federico II), 10 km. from the city of Andria with the splendid cathedral with crypt and its historic center, 15 km away. from the city of Trani located on the sea with a beautiful historic center and its magnificent cathedral. Moving away about 70 km. you can reach the splendid Valle D'Itria with the characteristic stone houses called trulli, in the city of Alberobello, Ostuni, Martinafranca and many other beautiful places.
