Old rooms. Poor management service. Zero customer care.

Proximity to main pedestrian area.

Small room 113, in an old building connected to the main hotel. Do not book the old building rooms!!!!? No desk. Very small shelf. Air conditioning not functioning properly. Sheet nozzle broken - water everywhere. TV would not work. The heat radiator is all rusted. No help from management. Old bed, old mattress. Internet weak. The hotel advertises non smoking rooms, but all guests just smoke on their balcony. As a non smoker, for 2 days I could not use my balcony. The small balcony was old dirty concrete directly next to the adjacent hotel restaurant bar. Very noisy. And cigarette smell from this area was also bad. Upon arrival there was not even a small bottle of water in the room. And they have no option to purchase items at reception. Shops in the area close early. I’m an experience tracker as a Tour Manager and I stay in 200 hotel nights a year. This is definitely the worse to date. There were issue with my prepaid room request. Booking.com forwarded my booking requests to the hotel, but the hotel denied receiving any information. Decide for yourself. He said she said. Upon check out, the staff demanded I pay an additional 60 EUR for my room. This hotel has no incentive to improve because of their location on the water. They are part of Gallerini Hotel Group. Based on this experience, I will never recommend this hotel group. Why would it be better?

Great location with top view

Great location with very ambitious reception lady. Very good breakfast variety and nice outside seating area. Balcony to the seaside was top.

The quality of the bed could be improved, it was way too soft due to its construction. But we did not ask for a change, the view made up for this only downside.

Superb

The hotel is located right at the sea and 1 minute walk from the restaurant streets. The interior is dated and the bathroom is very small but it has a special flair to it. We didn’t mind. The walls are very thin, so you hear your neighbours. The breakfast has a good selection of ham and cheese, musli and fruit. The best part of the hotel is the staff. There is a lovely lady who can help you with almost anything. She knows the area very well and can give you just about any recommendation. She is a real darling!

Noisy

Friendly reception and staff, especially Tiziano, who was very helpful. The position of the hotel is perfect. Morning sun on the balcony above the quiet street. Generous breakfast.

The "comfort" room was small and crammed, the mattress a too soft. Not at all soundproof, you can hear EVERYTHING from the neighbors. It's a matter of luck: if your neighbors are considerate, you can rest and sleep in peace. In my case, the neighbors from hell in the building next to my room decided to watch soccer at high volume and made a lot of noise until late at night. They did not react to my pleas to turn it down. That ruined my stay but was probably just bad luck. Better then not to pick the rooms (mine was 314) at the end of the 3rd floor.

Great hotel with a great staff!

Everything was great! The staff was helpful, friendly and polite. I got the comfort room with sea view, which I really recommend. As people say the rooms are quite small but I don’t think that is a problem. It is in a really nice location, close to the beach and the center.

The only thing that could be a problem is the parking if it’s not available, but if you book in advance you should be able to reserve it.

Great location. Right on the sea/boardwalk. Close to the beach and many restaurants. Staff at check in were friendly. Sheets and towels were clean. The breakfast that was included was amazing! Lots of fresh meats, cheeses, buns, fruits, pastries, coffee, juice etc. nice room to eat breakfast as well as an outdoor space. Unfortunately no view of the sea. But that’s ok

We had an issue with the air conditioning. They attempted to fix it but weren’t quite understanding that if they couldn’t fix it I’d expect to be moved to another room. Instead of accommodating this request the lady at the front desk argued that the only room they had would cost me more. Don’t know why it should cost me more if they can’t provide an air conditioned room as per advertisement. It was very warm in the room! Eventually my husband was able to get it going. But they seem to control it centrally from the front desk. By the morning it was off and warm again. So this was not a pleasant experience.

wonderfull stay in a great hotel in a great town.

this was situated right on the fron with fabulous sea views, it is quiet as ther is no direct access to the promenade but the access is only 3mins walk away, the room was a good size and facilities clean and comfortable, the floors in the dinning area are beautifully finished in marble and gives it a real italian feel, the staff were super freindly and extremely efficient. Grado is a beautifull place to visit with lots of really good restaraunts, local shops with plenty to do and see in this real italian town.

breakfast buffet was quite good, the location right next to the sea was excellent, but one must know, that there is a pedestrian path between hotel and the sea - before a holiday , there were lots of people out and therefore it was noisy until late evening.

Beach holiday hotel

Good location right next to the breakwater walkway, close to the sandy beach and the public beach. Also very close to the main historic centre. Staff were friendly and helpful, plenty of options for breakfast. Wifi speed and strength was good and great airconditioning as there was a heatwave!

The Hotel told me per E-Mail that the Hotel has only a small parking space and that it is at that time fully booked. They told me that they will show me a parking space near by. When I arrived my wife and me could Not find any parking space in Grado. We have been searching for more than 2 hours!!!!!!!!!!!!! :(((

I chose wisely.

nostalgic trip down memory lane, first visit since studying in Grado Summer 87. I had no idea that the hotel was built next to the Museum, that was itself built on the site where I studied. so that was a bonus. the room was small and very clean, and that’s all you need. no one is ever going to visit Grado and stay in their room. Staff were exceptional, breakfast was fresh and plentiful and the view over the lagoon just as I remembered. if you are looking for a clean, friendly and and conveniently located hotel, you can’t really go wrong.
