Location and character of the property. Balcony overlooking Lake Como with a little bar down the road and house restaurant as well. Beautifully designed and appointed spacious room.

Friendly helpful staff. Beautiful location on Lake Como. Spacious modern room. Off Street parking. Only 1 hour from Milan airport.

If you are looking for night life, there is none nearby, you would need to get in your car. We didn't mind because it was the last night of our trip.

Very good surprise, excellent hotel of the beaten track on lake Como

Loved the breakfast, had something for everyone. The restaurant was excellent also at dinner and not too expensive, and provided gluten free options. The staff was super nice and helpful. Facilities new and of high quality. Good location in the lakeside.

Beautiful lake view

Location is wonderful the place is extremely clean and quiet. The room is huge. The bed is comfortable and the restaurant amazing. Do not skip dinner at the restaurant. The stuff is extremely helpful and went above and beyond to assist us.

It is overpriced especially as there is no swimming pool or spa in the property. We stayed during the winter but I guess that in the summer you could just go to the lake.

Rooms were good. Spacious. Great view from room

We didn’t have car to travel around. Found it difficult to roam around or go to the main town. No restaurants around. Very isolated. There is one restaurant in the accommodation. It isn’t open always.

Two nights as family " two adults with toddler 2 years old "

The location is amazing, and the view from the room is breathtaking. Quiet and comfortable. The room is spacious and modern. The bed was comfortable. Very, very clean. Excellent breakfast. Very convenient parking with available. Under the hotel, you can walk along the lake or sit.

There is no reception. There is a small room for check-in and check-out. Their working hours end at a certain time, around 6:00 PM. After that, there is no one to talk to if you need anything. I felt the price was relatively high.

Spacious, modern, clean with lake views, friendly staff and fanstastic restaurant.

The breakfast was excellent, a wide range of high quality buffet food, something for everyone and exceptional coffee. The restaurant staff were outstanding, friendly, knowledgeable and welcoming. We also recommend the restaurant for dinner and lunch. The hotel is best for people with their own transport (car), parking is available.

There was no aspect of this accommodation that we did not like.

Smart modern and stylish accommodation on the shore Lake Como.

We enjoyed our spacious room with a sofa and modern fixtures including a coffee machine and a TV with Sky channels. Our room had a lake view across the road. The breakfast had an excellent choice of both hot and cool food with plenty of fruit, pastries and drinks. We enjoyed a delicious dinner in the restaurant which was at the top end of our budget.

In our room there was a movement sensing light outside the bathroom which was impossible to avoid triggering during trips to the bathroom in the night thus waking a partner.

La Locanda del Cantiere was at the top of the list of our stays in northern Italy.

There are many accommodations to choose from at Lake Como offering visitors a choice; however, the owners, manager and staff of La Locanda del Cantiere have figured out how to make their accommodation exceptionally appealing to the traveler. La Locanda del Cantiere's decor is a combination of the best of antiquity combined with contemporary. They offer world class comfort and offer everything (including the little things,) that make for a great stay. Rooms offer state of the art ambient lighting as well as outside lighting, windows that open for fresh air, electronic shades, views right on the lake, state of the art bathroom fixtures, showers with great water pressure and perfect drainage, top security with four bolts on room doors, high speed wifi and comfortable bedding. The facility offers an elevator so one doesn't have to carry luggage up stairs and excellent parking that is locked at night and accessible to guests at all hours via a combination lock. The restaurant next door has a perfectly wonderful breakfast in the morning, phenomenal decor, caring and attentive staff. The La Locanda del Cantiere Manager provides excellent service to his guests and takes the initiative to go above and beyond. This was my most favorite stay in all of the 9 places of lodging I stayed at during my visit to northern Italy. La Locanda del Cantiere can write the book on superior hospitality. Bravo to the La Locanda del Cantiere team!

Superb

It has a fantastic location, just on the other side of the road running by the lakeside. So the view of the lake from the room is a treat to wake up to. The room has a modern look to it and the facilities are good with a TV, adjustable heating/ air conditioning and a fabulous bathroom. We were later than our prearranged arrival time, but a kind member of staff had waited for us.

The spacious and lovely room (and outside the room area), the breakfast, kind and helpful staff, gorgeous views and peaceful setting, even the little restaurant next to the property — this was our favorite stay in our three-week Italy trip. And we stayed at ten properties! We highly recommend Locanda del Cantiere.

Very high quality hotel

First of all, it's the staff. We called that we couldn't arrive before their reception time, so they gladly agreed to wait as long as we needed. The rooms are perfectly laid out, and Lake Como can be seen from the window. The cosmetics in the room are of high quality. I really liked the hotel. The breakfast is very tasty and the parking lot is very convenient even with a minibus.

You have to take into account that it is not the city center and you can only reach everything by car or taxi. Since our expectations were different, the location suited us.

Amazing and relaxing stay, will come back again

The view and location were very beautiful, room was very spacious and the beds are big. Room was clean. The restaurant downstairs was yummy and the staff very friendly. The car garage on the premises was definitely a bonus.

Clean, comfortable, spacious room with a beautiful view. The AC and refrigerator were a huge plus, and the room was thoughtfully stocked. We also loved the breakfast buffet. It was the nicest breakfast offering at any of the hotels we stayed at during our trip. Dinner at the restaurant was lovely, too, and it was great to have food and wine available downstairs. The location is perfect for getting around to other popular destinations in the area, while offering a quiet place to retreat at the day’s end. Appreciated having parking included on site, and an elevator for transporting luggage. We felt this stay was an excellent value and exceeded our expectations for the price.

Great little hotel!

It had a view of the lake which was lovely and free parking available which is super helpful in the como region. the bed was comfortable and the space was clean. Everything looked pretty modern and it was the best shower I had while in Italy. The free breakfast was also delicious.

Perfect experience in Como

We enjoyed a lot the Como lake and the stay at La Locanda del Cantiere. The room was big enough to fit 4 adults and clean and the beds were super comfortable. The staff is super welcome and always ready to help you. The breakfast was fabulous. And as bonus you have private parking which in Como is nightmare with that. Mihai, you're the best and thanks for memorable moments in Como.
