Rio River Retreat Lodge is a beautiful 4000 square ft log cabin located on the Gold Medal Waters of the Rio Grand River. Perfect for multiple families, church groups, ski groups, quilt/ scrapbook/ photography retreats and corporate events!
Just 20 miles to Wolf Creek Ski Area!
With 6 bedrooms plus a sleeping loft, and 3 1/2 baths spread out on 3 levels, there is plenty of space for everyone without feeling crowded!

The Lodge sits on 4 acres, so there are no neighbors right up against you. You will love the privacy of the deck overlooking the river and yard! Enjoy the beautiful mountain views out every window! You will love the updated, comfortable rooms and wish you would’ve stayed longer!
The open concept living/ dining/ kitchen allows everyone to be part of the conversations about your adventures each day! The large game room is a fun place to come together on cold or rainy evenings.
The kitchen has 2 refrigerators, double oven, microwave, dishwasher with plenty of cookware, bakeware and dishes- everything you need to prepare meals during your stay. The dining room is large enough to seat 25 guests comfortably. The living room has a large comfy sectional and a 65" smart tv.
The Lodge is the perfect location for families and friends to gather to make memories where the river meets the mountains!

WEDDINGS- Searching for a small rustic style wedding/ elopement venue with river and mountain views? Rio River Retreat Lodge is a beautiful location for your special day!! You’ll love the riverside ceremony location and covered patio for a small reception. All new prospective brides are required to complete a phone call with the host within 72 hours of booking. This policy is strictly enforced. We want to make sure that Rio River Retreat is the perfect fit for your special day! There IS an additional event fee which includes the riverside aspen arch, rustic benches, white wooden folding chairs, a covered pavilion for a reception and reception tables. Maximum number of guests is 25, unless you also book the little Cabin next door, then the total # of guests is 31.

The lodge is fully furnished and newly updated with hand hewn log beds and memory foam mattresses. Enjoy the beautiful view of the river from the main floor and upstairs bedrooms or the tranquility and quietness of the basement bedrooms.
You will love the spacious game room for playing pool, ping pong a kid size foos ball table and a smart TV for watching movies or listening to music. There are various games and puzzles for all to enjoy after a long day of hiking, fishing or skiing. We have added a covered 20x20 pavilion for the perfect outdoor gathering spot while grilling burgers or cooking hotdogs over the fire pit. The 2 picnic tables and outdoor patio furniture make it the perfect outdoor dining area during your stay!
Enjoy your morning coffee on the large deck that overlooks the river or watch the rafters and kayakers float by in the afternoon.
WIFI is available throughout the lodge.
Enjoy a wide variety of outdoor activities in and around South Fork- fishing, hiking, riding ATV's, biking, exploring jeep trails, golfing, rafting, and kayaking. Two families were able to enjoy this house and each other for a week in this home. There were 10 adults and 2 teens and plenty of space for everyone.The view if the mountains and access to the Rio Grande made this the best place we’ve stayed while in South Fork. We especially enjoyed the large family and kitchen area for our group, and the kids took advantage of the game room and games. The kitchen was well equipped for our family needs. We made all of our meals in the house. There was plenty of room for parking, and checking in and out were easy! We will definitely try to book this place again!

The lodge was great, fit 25 college guys in it comfortably. The hosts were helpful and communicated with me quickly. Would definitely recommend this lodge for a big group.

We always stay here when we come to ski WolfCreek!!! We have a group of 10+ and stay at the lodge. Always clean!!! The amenities are everything you need! Bring your food, drinks and family/friends and make the best memories.
Melissa and Dan are the easiest and most kind people to work with. They have always went out of their way to make sure we had everything we needed and always available to answer any questions or help in any way.
Your stay here will be everything you want and like us, you will be returning customers!!!!
