Front desk staff was exceptional. Room looked great and slept well in the bed.
Did not know the market was the following morning. Banging of metal poles started about 04:30, continued and got louder. Had to put pillow over my head. I was 2nd floor front of hotel.

The hotel was centrally located in a beautiful area right across the river. It seemed like it was newly renovated. Very clean and staff was excellent. Great little market in front of the hotel on Saturday morning.
The lady in the cafeteria was a little annoyed when we got to breakfast at 10:30. I think they had just cleaned up the area…oh meu….

Ponte de Lima. Otherwise not much!
A lot. It’s run down. The rear of the hotel is unattractive with a derelict pool. There is a noisy pub behind the hotel. The air con didn’t work. Breakfast was very average…. Overall it was disappointing.
