Les Magnolias

A beautiful, peaceful hotel, set on the Dordogne, with lovely hosts, who are both helpful and discreet. We had a beautiful large room with a balcony, with the most comfortable bed ever, which we never wanted to get out of! There is a gorgeous immaculately clean pool to relax by. Lovely restaurants and bars just 10 minutes walk away. We had the most perfect stay.. Wejust wanted to relax but if you want o explore the Dordogne then you can do all of that too.

Perfect location, perfect property, lovely pool, beautiful views and a gorgeous, spacious room with river views. The hosts were friendly, charming and helpful and the atmosphere was relaxed. Breakfast was delicious. The hotel is a short walk to restaurants. We will definitely be going back!

Breakfast on the roof terrace couldn’t have been better. Good choice of food and an eggs option, Tom makes a great omelette/scrambled egg to order

Fridge in the room

Tom & Sieta are great hosts. They showed us around the beautiful property. It is great if you like to be a little self sufficient, they have a place where you can cook/prepare your own meals, and a fridge/freezer for the guests to share, which they also have soft drinks you can purchase. The views from the breakfast room are absolutely remarkable, and you get these by the pool area too. Our room (Montpazier) was beautifully decorated, and very comfortable. It is an older property so you must remember that. They had provided amenities in the bathroom, tea, coffee, water etc.

It was our mistake but there isn't air conditioning. Our stay was during the recent heatwave, and with the evening temperatures remaining in the high 20's, there wasn't anywhere to get cool. We would 100% recommend Les Magnolias to all, but if there is a similar heatwave, then this will be important in making your decision to book.
