This property was absolutely beautiful and the hosts, Ishikawa San and his wife Mami San were very helpful and went over and above to make us comfortable and guide us with the local attractions and make reservations for us. We also used the Sauna by their creek which was an amazing experience. The property has a beautiful garden and is very well designed inside and outside.

Everything about our stay at Cottage Views was magical - the backyard, the house itself, the location, the views. It was deeply inspiring and Shoji and Mami were the most generous hosts. Ending a long day of hiking with a soak in the deep bathtub and homemade wild strawberry ice cream (!!) was an added bonus. It was the highlight of our entire trip to Japan and we would love to come back some day soon!

Very nice and serene location. The hosts were very nice. We did not have a car, but the host drove us around and showed us places around the island.

Everything! It was absolutely beautiful, both inside and out. The hosts gave us a hearty welcome as well as lots of information about local sights, restaurants, grocery stores, even tide tables! There were lots of thoughtful touches, too… shoe dryers provided on a particularly rainy day, special garb for women to wear in a co-ed onsen if desired, a lovely scented spray to spritz on the pillows to aid in sleep!
