A fantastic experience-Western luxury with Chinese style.

West meets East. A Chinese hotel with all the Western luxury trimmings. Stayed for 3 nights and were the only Westerners. Most staff don't speak any English but will find Harry who does. We had our son with us who speaks Chinese. It was a Chinese holiday and many families taking advantage of the excellent facilities for young Children and making the most of the Buffet restaurant. Not close to any tourist attractions or central Beijing(chosen because it is close to where our son is staying for the year) but taxis very cheap and convenient. Lovely rooms, great breakfast, restful bar. Bar food and buffet restaurant excellent. On site Chinese restaurant not to our western taste as high end cuisine tends to consist mainly of bones to give it more flavour. Would thoroughly recommend a stay here if you are nearby.

It is not trying to woo Western customers and although it seems like a luxury hotel in Las Vegas it is very Chinese. As a result, be prepared for noisy, busy breakfasts and Staff can appear brusque without meaning to.
