We loved our short stay in Les Carroz. Bernard was extremely courteous, helpful and flexible, ensuring that everything was arranged for us on arrival and that our departure time could be accommodated. He also answered a wide range of queries promptly by email.
The studio is small (hence the price) but very well looked after and features very practical improvements like laminate flooring and electric security shutters. It is well equipped and you just need to bring food and sheets, etc. It is warm and quiet too.
Although the Genepi building isn't right in the centre, it really is only about a gentle 12-15 minute walk (I did this a few times with my 12 year old son). Also the Line A resort bus (which normally operates every 20 minutes from 08:15 to 19:00) stops a short walk from the front of the building in Pre du Bois. Because its at the end of the circuit, its very easy to get a seat and itakes you swiftly to both the shops and the ski lift (where the lift passes are also sold).
One thing I would consider next time is booking a ski locker. These are next to the ski lift, (at the end of the bus route) and booked online via the Les Carroz resort website. We didn't think about this until too late. It's not at all necessary, but would have made things even easier and avoided any walking with skis and boots.
This is the first time we have tried the Grand Massif ski area and we did enjoy it. We tend to tick off the pistes pretty quickly, but there was still plenty to do over four days skiing and also the variety of the lower tree lined runs and the open bowl of Flaine. If conditions allow, then the very long and dramatic (scenery-wise) Cascades run from Flaine down to Sixt is well worth a go. The ski bus picks you up directly at the bottom and takes you to the main lift at Samoens, so you are quickly back on the circuit again.
Food prices in resort and on the slopes were also good, as was the quality. We strongly recommend Le Chalet d' Clair (on the way down to Morillion) and also Le Neve in Les Carroz centre. In Flaine there are big authentic pizzas in Chez Lili (just don't get an adult size one for the kids!).
We came via Geneva airport and it proved easier to book a shared private transfer, rather than rely on a more limited public transport option (though it is possible to get a couple of trains and then a bus up from Cluses below). 'GoMassif' was excellent.

Très bonne impression pour cette location, came et bien équipée. L'appartement est bien pour deux personnes mais sera un peu étroit pour quatre malgré les deux lits superposés supplémentaires. Location que nous recommandons car elle est très bien placée par rapport au village et bien desservie par le SKYBUS juste au pied de la résidence.

Un appartement bien situé dans une station familiale et agréable. Une place de parking toujours disponible. Immeuble calme et en retrait du centre ville mais à 15 min à pied seulement top trajet qui se fait vraiment bien.

C'est tout petit mais bien agencé.
La navette est a proximité.
Pas de problème de stationnement dans le secteur de la résidence.
Le quartier est très calme, tout en n'étant qu'à un quart d'heure à pied du centre.
Si je pouvais suggérer 2 petites améliorations : ajouter des éclairages indirects dans le salon (lampe de chevet ou applique murale) pour une ambiance moins lumineuse le soir.
Une literie moins ferme dans le canapé 😉

Attention : dans l'annonce, il est indiqué que l'appartement dispose du wifi, ce qui n'est pas le cas.

Nous sommes allés dans ce studio début août. Il est conforme à ce qui est écrit. Convient parfaitement pour deux personnes + éventuellement deux petits enfants. C'est un studio avec un excellent rapport qualité prix en été. Nous regrettons de n'y être resté qu'une semaine ! Nous y retournerons sans hésiter. Le studio se trouve à 500 m de l Aquacime (piscine, sauna, Hammam et salle de fitness/musculation que j'ai testé et qui est top). Tout est à proximité. Je recommande vivement d autant plus que nos amis les bêtes sont acceptées sans supplément (en l occurence un chat en ce qui nous concerne)
