Overall the hotel was very good. Gorgeous decorating. Two downsides for me would be that we booked a two bedroom which I have no problem paying for, but they charge you $120 more for another adult staying in that second room. We only had breakfast there, which was excellent, but a breakfast isn’t worth $120 a day. Not sure why they do that. So for me, it took the value of the stay down. Excellent decor and food. We did not use the spa because there weren’t any available openings.
We were on the second floor and housekeeping starts cleaning the spa above us at 6am. Woke me up each morning. That was terrible. I told the front desk about it when checking out and they acknowledged they clean at that time and simply said sorry.

Amazing hotel at Garmisch-Partenkirchen. Just next to Garmisch city centre. The hotel is very nice and it has direct access to the park. Food was excellent, service at the front desk was also nice, rooms and free parking for the car. The spa is also good, and the heated pool is wonderful.
» It´s not a huge deal, but room service must be ordered at the front desk and not directly through the room phone connection.
» Kitchen closes at 10 pm.
» TV did not accept a Wi-Fi or Bluetooth connection to mirror my devices. You´re stuck to German channels.

Great food, nice design but there's more to hospitality than what a place looks like - see below
Disability room was anything but accessible, and definitely not barrier-free as advertised.
- There was a wall right behind the bathroom door so had to do a multiple point turns in the wheelchair to get in & out. Toilet was wedged between the sink & the shower glass so almost impossible to transfer. Shower recess had raised stone around it so difficult to turn & enter shower
- Small step at front door to get into room, plus 2 heavy (closed) fire doors to get from reception to room, up a ramp & stairs right in front of the first door that one could accidently roll down
- Swimming pool area is impossible to get to outside in a wheelchair as very large step. I waited more than 10 minutes for someone to help me, with the owner walking past me multiple times with no clue that I needed help. Even then, step was so high almost impossible to get up or down with help. Owners could easily install a weatherproof, non-slip ramp for mobility impaired guests, but they weren't interested - too much hassle
- All guests had their car spaces reserved with their name displayed. The disabled car space not only was not saved under my name (even though they knew I needed it before I arrived), but had multiple luggage racks taking up most of the space. Finally found someone to move them and he only moved 2, saying I could park around the 3rd one still in the parking space. With no idea of how much space a wheelchair user needs to get in & out of the car. After I insisted he clear the space, he did so angrily. On the day I left, someone had put the luggage racks back in the disabled car space, blocking access to my car
Unfortunately owners had ableist attitudes and lack of insight into how to treat wheelchair users with respect and understanding. Accessibility not only means creating barrier free environments, but how to listen to disabled users and find solutions when infrastructure is not up to standard.

Breakfast was the best I've ever had and was included in the booking. The restaurant is gourmet. The staff was super accommodating and helped review options for local attractions and with a last minute ironing request. The spa is breath taking. There is a beautiful peaceful garden and grounds to tour.
Note that this is a relaxation resort. We were there for a wedding, post wedding had to keep it down. Not a place to hang out late/loud, which is good resting vacationers.

An exceptionally friendly and warm team at the Hotel welcomed us and looked after us during our stay. The breakfast was equally exceptionally in terms of spread and quality of the food. We were positively surprised that a light lunch buffet was included in the booking which was great, too. The facilities were great and we loved that every room comes with a tap for fresh mountain water.

Included in our stay was breakfast, lunch, and use of the spa facilities. Due to the language barrier and the inexperience of some guests with the appropriate use of spa facilities, I would recommend more communication about this.
There are lots of lovely hikes around the area and I wish that the staff were more knowledgeable about these. I said that the size of the room was small because that was the question, but it did not affect the quality of our stay at all. I LOVED the space.
The tourism in the area is being negatively affected by instagram, but this hotel keeps you completely out of that fray.

We had a wonderful honeymoon at Werdenfelserei from 7 to 16 March.
The hotel is really good looking (design) and clean, can't say anything bad about that.
The whole staff is really nice and do their job very good and the welcome drink and the bottle of wine on the last night is very appreciated (despite my wife is pregnant, she'll drink it in a few weeks)
We loved the spa and swimming pool and the area (park and close to the city center) is perfect.
The breakfast is one of the best we've ever had.
A few small points from my side, no reproach intended, because it might be my problem more than the hotel haha:
- The two folded umbrella's near the swimming pool really spoil the view to the mountains.
- Availability of a little snack in the spa would be nice
- Restaurant: the hat-dinner (hutessen) was really good, never seen something like that before. But overall, we prefer 'normal' dinner (again, no reproach intended) like meat, potato, vegetables, pizza etc over the artwork that is served.
- The prices at the bar are ok, but for me as a whisky lover, between €13 and €19 for standard single malt whiskies like Talisker, Dalwhinnie, Ardbeg ten and Lagavulin is really too much. Luckily there was a really good independent Caol Ila and had a fun 'whisky exchange project' (including my own whisky) with the bartender on the last night.

Location is within walking distance to the city center with free parking underground. The breakfast was amazing- option for freshly squeezed orange juice or make your own waffles in the am. Restaurant has a delicious menu, albeit pricey and the service was second to none. The location of the pool cannot be beat- rooftop with a view of the mountains. There were two saunas with different temperatures, a steam room (not functioning our last day), and relaxation rooms all across the top floor with tea and water available.
When I initially asked about ski rentals, the lady who answered the phone was very rude, curt and unhelpful. Rooms were slightly small given the price point. My colleague who recommended this place mentioned upon arrival they were provided with a welcome drink and chocolates in the cabinets above the bed- we did not receive either, nor was there any description of the amenities or things to do in the area upon check in. Lastly, not the hotels fault, but we unfortunately were there the same time three young men were there staying with their parents. They were disruptive in the spa, doing back flips, smoking in the pool and yelling at 0200 in the morning. Unruly guests should not be welcomed in the hotel as many of us are looking for a relaxing stay.
