Villa Denia

The owner made contact 48 hours prior to arrival and asked us to contact her when we were an hour away from the villa. The owner met us at the villa and gave a brief tour of the villa and the kitchen and explained the air con with us. We paid a daily surcharge for electricity, which is common practice in the summer in Spain, we used the air con every night, so we thought it was okay to do so. I note from other reviews that this was not welcome, but we were made aware prior to arrival. The pool was brilliant, great size, cleaned and maintained twice a week. The owner watered the plants twice during our 10 day visit, we always received a text the day before and only the garden was accessed. We had an issue with the washing machine, which was fixed the next day. The owner was very responsive with any questions. The kitchen is fairly new and a good space and well stocked with utensils. All bathrooms worked well. WIFI worked brilliantly. The villa inside was clean, and with a number of outside seating areas, it was more than big enough for 5 adults. You do need a car, with supermarkets an 8 minute drive. We really enjoyed our stay and with family only living a 10 minute drive away, we would definitely rebook Villa Denia.

Our one complaint was the beds, they were very hard and quite uncomfortable if you like a soft mattress, but again, this is personal. There is a villa cat, which we really liked having around, however, I have put it as a negative as if you have allergies or do not like cats, it maybe difficult! There is no BBQ, even though it is listed on the facilities. A hairdryer would have been appreciated. La casa en sí no estaba mal,pero al llegar tuvimos que pagar 54€ de luz y cuál es nuestra sorpresa que cuando ponías el aire acondicionado y el horno ,saltaba el diferencial.Me parece increíble pagando 1861€ más 54€.

Otra sorpresa es que las puertas del patio no se cerraban,por lo que cualquiera podría entrar. La limpieza de la zona exterior muy regular.
