This newly renovated Penthouse is located on the South Ridge of Flamingo. The Penthouse features spacious, open living areas with custom decor, woodwork, and stunning views throughout.
A Chef's kitchen has well-designed cabinetry, granite counter-tops, a breakfast bar with four leather bar stools, wine refrigerator, dishwasher, front load washer and dryer, and immaculate marble, granite, and hardwood throughout the Penthouse. It comes completely equipped with everything you'll need to prepare gourmet meals during your stay.
There are three bedrooms; the master suite offers a king size bed, walk in closet, and an opulent bathroom including a freestanding soaking tub overlooking the stunning ocean views. The Guest bedrooms offer en suite bathrooms and queen size beds. All of the bedrooms feature excellent mattresses, high-end bedding, armoire storage, and elegant decor.
The main living area features a sofa and love seat with full regulation size pool table and a window wall that folds completely open to allow the amazing breezes into the home throughout the day. All areas of the home offer split air conditioning units so that you can climate control each room to the guests desired temperature.
On the main terrace, you find an outdoor dining table that seats 8, and ceiling fans to help boost the tropical ambiance. The main terrace is perfect for morning coffee or afternoon cocktails, as you watch the sailboats pass by and the sunsets that are unparalleled at any other condos in the Gold Coast of Costa Rica! The master bedroom lanai has 2 chaise lounge chairs or enough room for yoga or meditation. Both the terrace and lanai have roll down shades to provide a cool atmosphere should the afternoon sun become too bright or hot for your afternoon cocktails.
The condominium complex is located on a beautiful hill just south of Flamingo Beach. Easy driving distance from the Penthouse includes fantastic restaurants, grocery stores, bakeries, banks, boutique shops, and much more. The community boasts 24 hour security, guest parking, two swimming pools, as well monkeys and other wildlife surrounding the area.
Flamingo is a vibrant little town where everything is at your fingertips. It features a beautiful, white sand beach, perfect for lounging, sunbathing, and swimming. Our family of six (wife, myself, parents and two teenagers) stayed in the penthouse for 10 days. It feels more spacious than the pictures shown and the view is spectacular. Every morning family members would find themselves with a cup of coffee or juice on the lanai and every afternoon a beer or cocktail sitting outside and staring out at the waves. Pros: Near to restaurants, activities and beaches. Playa Flamingo Marina 10 minutes away with Surf Box restaurant and Planet Dolphin Catamaran trip. Playa Flamingo minutes away and Coco Loco restaurant. Playa Tamarindo 30min away for surfing. Our favorite restaurants were El Tiki (with chef Roy from all the previous reviews(!) and Gracia del Mar, both within 10 minutes drive. Daughters enjoyed the two pools in the complex. My father, daughters and I all played billliards some of the evenings. Appliances worked mostly as expected. Coffee pot, blender, beach towels. Elevator to the penthouse functional. Area felt safe.The cons (minor things that you might or might not care about): Water temperatures were lukewarm at max and all the faucets calcified so water streams poor. Dryer slow/multiple runs. Bought own toilet paper/paper tower after we couldn't find extra (manager Allen responsive, brought some next day). Drive up the hill to unit is steep, full of ruts, too far to walk anywhere. Wifi sporadic.Overall it was a great stay and our family would recommend this unit.

There was plenty of room for my family of 7, having a pool table was lots of fun. Morning coffee and sunsets on patio were just like pictures in listing. You need to have a higher clearance vehicle to travel on the road up to the place. Security was nice and property manager was very helpful. Place is less then 10 min drive to the beach and perfect place to stay.

Amazing place! Unfortunately all the things that were broken were never fixed. For the amount of $ spent /night (for our 3 weeks) these things SHOULD have been fixed or addressed. Roy never responded to any of our texts in regards to our issues. We did notify Brandon and he respond and said he would get Roy to look onto the issues... never did.
ISSUES:
dishwasher broken
broken lamp switch
Living room TV didn't really work
2 of the 6 cues broken
Dirty counters/dishes in the dishwasher
Laundry still in machine
Pantry full of maids stuff (dirty buckets, mops, clothes, towels, cleaners etc) we had to put our food on the dryer.
Dressers/drawers had other guests old stuff in them. Eg. Prescription meds... which I was not happy about as that could have been very dangerous if a small child had got to them! Dirty kleenex, old hair brush, very smelly shoes,popcorn in a bag, etc.
Tub lights broken,unable to use (which looked so pretty in the pics)
Bedroom door handle broken
Main shower handle broken
No TV's in bedrooms except main (which our kids would have liked)
No fridge functions Inc ice (springs hanging out of it and broken off)
No parking space during our stay
Smoke detector beeping (couldnt change batteries as we couldnt get it apart)
Blinds in spare room broken (so people can see in)
Hot water in kitchen didnt work. We finally tried the fuse as it was tripped.
Yes some of these things were small, but again for the $ these things could have been fixed or cleaned up.
