Quiet, calm and with stunning views. Waking up to beautiful sun rises was priceless.

We were a fishing team from Portugal, participating in the world championship in Menton, France. There were 10 of us, we had 5 apartments and we were able to cook and eat together. It was a relaxed and pleasant atmosphere.

Italy has great views, and driving to locations can test your driving skills :)

A beautiful place with incredibly friendly staff. Despite our severe delay due to heavy traffic, our hostess was wonderfully flexible and accommodating with our check‑in, which made our arrival stress‑free.

Mixed feelings

The house is new, looks nice and indeed has a great view over the Med sea. The owner did her utmost to make us comfortable. Also her information on the dining option in the village (pizzeria) proved 100% hit. However...

...however, we were left with mixed feelings. There were some rough spots. First, the approach road is dangerously steep, narrow and with two blind bends. I measured the incline 11 to 17°, which, probably, translates to 22 to 34% steepness, never seen on road signs. If one is not used to mountaingoating with the car, this is not a good place to drive to. Second, the house is directly above the railway line, so I can tell you that the last train passes sometimes around 22 at night and the first – at 5.26 in the morning. Third, the room we stayed in had weak sound insulation – we heard scooters passing in the night and the train down below. Fourth, I did not achieve hot water in the shower, nether in the evening, nor in the morning. Fifth, the upper end of the handrail to the upper floor was not well fixed.

Convenient stopover close to the Hanbury botanical garden

The location was very good within easy reach of the main coastal roads yet quiet and with a good view over the sea. It is also within easy walking distance of the Hanbury botanical gardens. Safe parking area next to the accomodation.

Access is via a steep and narrow road with a couple of very sharp hairpin bends, not for the faint-hearted if you have a large car. Plenty of facilities in the common area next door so not so much (e.g. kettle) in the room.

Beautiful location with exceptional views across the coastal!

Very welcoming host, nice room with a small balcony & bathroom. Nice breakfast and beautiful views! The place is just a short distance away from the main village and is very quiet to stay at 😊. We really enjoyed our stay and would recommend this place to anyone who enjoys simple but warm & nice stay near Monaco & other riviera towns!

The wifi did not work, and the lady did not speak English or German, so it could not be fixed. The apartment is quite small.

A good place to switch off!

The location is lovely, with an amazing seaview. Personnel is polite and helpful. Breakfast ok. There are a couple of restaurants, a supermarket and a beach at walking distance, but walking uphill can be challenging to some people (it was fine for me). There's a possibility to reach the historical center (Ventimiglia alta) with a public bus that runs about once every 90 minutes.

A car is recommended, because the only taxi company never replies. But as said, there are some options walking or by public bus.

A beautifully restful few days in a beautiful spot and with a warm friendly host.

Our host Alicia was lovely and helped us out with local information. She booked us a taxi back to the station from the accommodation. We felt we could ask anything we needed and that she would help us with anything. Very warm and friendly. The air conditioning was fantastic! Nice breakfast.

it was difficult ahead of the booking to get in touch with Alicia, we tried a couple of times in writing English and then French and then realised the property was just in Italy but having no Italian couldn't try again. However when we contacted through customer service she then made contact and also rang us to help us manage our arrival booking. It would have been great to have something in writing about transport from the train station to the property rather than having to work that out 'on the hoof'

"Un mare di fiori" indeed!

Great location, spectacular view, colorful flowers, the name “Un mare di fiori” is perfectly chosen. The host was very kind and helpful. Unfortunately, the Studio for 4 people had an unpleasant smell of mold, both adults and children could hardly breathe. Although we paid for the accommodation and did the check-in, unfortunately we couldn’t sleep in that room overnight and left in search for another place. Maybe the rooms at upper floors were better, but not the Studio. We were sorry we had to leave, as we heard the breakfast was very good.

The owner is great and she made a fantastic, very well renovated B&B from an old house. The rooms are nicely decorated and spotlessly clean, the bathrooms are super new and immaculate. The owner also prepared huge amazing breakfast for the guests who reqested it the previous evening. The house itself is a bit hard to be found especially when already dark, but owner provides very good directions and waiting at the terrace to help and greet. There is a small secured open air parking right behind the house. They accept pets too. If you need to store your drinks or food - there is a big fridge in the breakfast saloon. There is also a nice terrace looking over the amazing garden. We enjoyed a lot our overnight stay in the charming house and wonderful garden, the only minus was that we were at the back and didn't have a sea view, Thank you and hope to see you again soon!

We would definitely visit this place again!

The location and the view are making this place the perfect spot for a short stop we needed. The host was amazing, going above an beyond to answer our questions and solve our problems. Very short walk to the beach and restaurants.

The AC didn't work properly during our stay, but it was something for a technician not the host to solve.

Clean and nice place, having all you need for a good holiday. Very nice view, from the balcony, of the sea side. Walking ditsnace two good restaurants. Good breakfast can be provided, at request and, if needed, Refrigerator available for the guests.
