It was just about OK for a 1 night stay
Walk-in Shower and Breakfast.
Very small room which had an equally small window that couldn't be accessed because the TV was in the way.

Clean and good size room Breakfast waa good value for money.
Limited days evening restaurant was open, but when its open, would highly recommend.

All round this was a good hotel - pleasant welcome, comfortable room and decent food.
My only quibble would be that I think more might have been done for an early breakfast before catching the 0800 ferry.

Nice food, great wine (Ribeton) - friendly staff. LOVED the lift.
Breakfast was delicious. Staff in the restaurant were very friendly and kind.
I booked through booking.com and wanted to cancel the last night with over 48hrs notice, but they wouldn't let me. Not a fault of Regency though. I ended up paying for an extra night when i wasn't even there !

Charming, Conventient Stay By the Sea
This was a charming hotel, conventiently and scenically located on the town's promenade and facing the sea. It gave the impression of a heritage property. Breakfasts were disappointing--not included with the room price, expensive, and not offering any particularly interesting selections. Dinners were also expensive. The ambience was a bit creepy as it was very quiet, meaning if you conversed, you felt like everyone could hear you. Our room, however, was large and comfortable, with windows facing the promenade and sea. Beds were comfortable. I wish they had provided soap for bathing. Bus stops are very close by, and the electric railway station is within a short walk. If I sound negative, it is despite the fact that I enjoyed my stay very much and would stay again.

Location, ease of public transport. Really friendly and helpful staff. The room was equipped well, mini fridge with complimentary bottles water. Ironing board with iron. Hair dryer, fresh milk on request for my coffee instead of the long life small milk cartons. I would definitely stay again.

Perfect location but shame about the staff on the desk.
Lovely location at the quieter end of the promenade.
Ok so the lift is quaint but just too tiny, struggled to get case in and out. Staff at the desk were extremely unfriendly. Only saw it staffed by elderly men who couldn’t be bothered to lift their heads as you walked in or out. Never even smiled. Not once asked if I was enjoying my stay, even on checking out just took the key and not a word! After the first night, I informed the desk that the room was far too hot, looked at me like I had two heads! No air con to control in the room. Thankfully when I returned that evening, I was pleasantly surprised to find a fan had been placed in the room.
