Beautifully Restored Large Historical Chalet With All Modern Amenities

Beim ersten Blick morgens auf die fantastische Skyline des Mont Blanc Massivs wissen sie: „Allein dies war es Wert das Le Chalet zu wählen“. Das Haus hat nicht nur die perfekte Lage, es lässt auch keine Wünsche offen. Zudem kann fast alles zu Fuß erreicht werden, vom Bäcker bis zum Ski-Lift. Auch Chesiére und Villars sur Ollon sind ein echter Geheimtipp. Wir waren sieben Personen und alle waren komfortabelst untergebracht. Die Gemütlichkeit und Großzügigkeit der Wohnräume, die Bäder, die Sauna, die gesamte Ausstattung und das gediegene, elegante Interieur machen das wohnen im „Le Chalet“ zu einem wundervollen Erlebnis. Nach dem Skifahren in die hauseigene Sauna zu gehen ist einfach fantastisch. Für die Fahrzeuge sind Stellplätze, Carport und Garage vorhanden. Auf den ersten Blick sieht man dem Haus den Komfort und die Größe nicht an. Ein wunderschönes Haus mit viel Charakter. Die Eigentümer waren sehr freundlich, hilfsbereit und bemüht unsere Wünsche zu erfüllen. Keiner von uns hatte etwas zu bemängeln oder vermisste etwas. Das Haus ist perfekt und sehr zu empfehlen. Wir waren alle sehr zufrieden und werden auf alle Fälle wieder kommen. Zudem versuchen wir auch für den Sommer zu buchen. Einer der schönsten Golfplätze in den Alpen ist gerade mal 10 Minuten entfernt.

We stayed there for New Year, we were 2 couples with 2 kids each (1 to 6y old), and the chalet was perfect. Beautiful view, garage, sauna, small yard in front of the chalet to make snowman with kids. Generally cosy atmosphere with newbuilt totally independent garden level floor, newbuilt extension with fireplace for friendly apperitivos, quiet reading or music listening. Huge master bedroom with walk in closet, large bathroom and TV room with wide screen on 1st floor. A car is needed, even if ski lift (1km) and center of town (2km) are very close from the chalet. Owners very friendly and responsive. Wifi available. I would strongly recommend the place for a one or two families with kids ! Not a sleek 5 stars hotel or chalet as you could find in more flashy ski resorts, but a very authentic chalet.

We stayed at this fabulous chalet in the early summer and loved every minute of our visit. The building itself has a charmingly mellow feel and the owners have furnished it accordingly: it is stylish and comfortable. As the main living, kitchen and dining area are more or less open-plan, we all hung out there after a day’s hiking. There is enough space for the kids to play, the adults to have the first drink of the day and the cook doesn’t feel cut off from the fun. After dinner we all migrated to reception room and enjoyed the open fire. We took lots of great hikes and found good places to eat. The owners had been kind enough to give us some tips, but we discovered some good eateries on our own. My favourite things: the view from the master bedroom on a clear morning over to Le Grand Muveran is amazing — getting up has never been so easy. Also, the sitting out on one of the carved wood balconies with my feet up reading a book in the afternoon sun was a perfect way to pass an hour or two.

Tastefully decorated inside and conveniently located in Villars we spent a wonderful two weeks with our 5 kids - there was ample room for all of us, plus a few guests who visited during our stay. The property is very well maintained and the owners were very responsive to all of our queries, as well as being helpful in recommending what to do locally. We would definitely recommend this to our friends and are looking forward to coming back soon. Also planning to come in winter and take advantage of the great ski access.

We, a group of six grown-ups and four children, enjoyed a wonderful week in this stunningly restored and re-furbished chalet. The drive from Geneva airport to Villars was - with a bit of over an hour - comfortably short, with some beautiful views along the way! The chalet provides a perfect mix of modern and antique, practical and cosy. The layout allowed all of us three families to either have some private time (with bedrooms on different floors and either a kitchen or a living room on each floor as well) or to enjoy some fun evenings in the spacious and beautifully furnished living room. We have fond memories of our dinners in the chalet - the more formal dining room was perfect for the grown-ups, and our children loved sitting on the long kitchen table in the cosy dining room coming straight off the kitchen. The kitchen is spacious enough to allow more than one cook, and the seating area off the hallway, between dining room and kitchen became our favourite spot to have pre dinner drinks whilst sinking into the very comfortable armchairs and sofa. Our children, four boys, all keen footballers, very much appreciated the big garden to play and kick a ball and the nearby playground. We went on a number of walks up the mountains, along a little stream and through the forest and thoroughly enjoyed the Villars atmosphere and nature. Our boys also played tennis every day in a nearby tennis centre, and we found very good restaurants and cafes for lunches, dining or a good piece of cake and a coffee. We all found the people in Villars to be very helpful and friendly - despite being a quite famous skiing area this is not a snobby, but indeed a very welcoming village with a wide range of restaurants, bars and shops. We would definitely go back there again if time allows. And our son actually went one step further and asked us on the last day: "Can't we just buy the chalet?"
