We absolutely loved our two weeks at Bourron. The setting is idyllic, with so much space to play and relax. The setting is rural but within an hour or so of the coast, so you can mix seaside and countryside with ease. The house is a really charming mix of rustic and modern, and is clearly a much-loved holiday home for the owners. Sylvie and Patrick (who live off-site) were really helpful, and gave us a wonderful welcome and advice about things to do. The facilities are great, with a separate annexe, and the covered barbecue and dining area is wonderful for evening meals. The pool is fantastic – we had never tried a saline pool before and can highly recommend it, as it is much less harsh than a chlorine pool – no goggles required, but much less salty than the sea. And we really loved the instant friends we made in the donkeys and chickens, who were an entertaining presence throughout our stay. What a wonderful place this is, and run by lovely people.
