Location right on the loch, nice caravan and heaters worked well
Had no idea car would not be near caravan.
Caravan was old , worn (windows didn't shut properly for example) but was clean and heaters worked well to make it comfortable

The lodge was immaculate, with plenty of supplies to help us get settled in. The location of the site is great, lots of attractions just a short drive away. You can see why so many people return to this place
Nothing, it was all perfect

The location was perfect, stunning views.
The property ( beech tree) was clean, perfectly equipped and had lots of space for the kids to cycle and play.
The caretaker even spent time building a bike ramp for my kids.
Amazing.
Nothing.

Lovely cosy lodge in a great location. Not too far from Oban and Fort William but also felt quiet and peaceful. We really enjoyed doing a bike ride on the Port Appin loop on bikes hired in Appin, which were recommended in the lodge welcome book. Great stay!

The location is nice and overseeing Loch Creran. It's close to nature and good for hiking. My family can sit outside to have meals with beautiful views in front of us.
Nothing I could think of

I had a truly wonderful stay at this place , nestled in an incredibly beautiful and peaceful location. Surrounded by nature, it’s the perfect place for anyone seeking tranquility, relaxation, and a true retreat from the noise of everyday life

The views from our caravan were spectacular and the lodge was comfy to come back to in the evenings. Would like to come back in the future...

Location was superb, the Bothy was brand new and stunning, helpful staff and just a totally gorgeous setting
Booking.com not sending over the joining instructions and getting eaten alive by midges but that wasn't the fault of the accomodation :)

Location ideal.
A little trouble with hot water fixed bystaff very quickly

Lovely view. Had everything we needed. Kitchen well equipped. Staff friendly and hdlpful.
Plenty of space yo park the car. Not too close to lodge next door.
The main road was very close and noisy. The TV was complicated to work but staff came real quick to help us. The ramp up to front door was in neven... A bit of a trip hazard for my elderly parents.

location was brilliant, nice and quiet, and a decent pub in walkable distance

Clean, spacious, well equipped, lovely location.
Gas ran out for our last 24 hours so no hot water or gas cooking for meal preparation. Informed the manager twice to no avail.
Otherwise everything was great.
Would definitely revisit.

It was self-catering and the kitchen was very well-equipped. The bothy was a recent addition to the site so everything was new and worked well. Great shower. Beautiful setting and the owners were really friendly and helpful. We had the dog with us and she loved it too!
The site is developing and some landscaping still to be done - otherwise, nothing to comment.

The view was definitely the best!! It was also very clean !
I did also love the area outside the cabin to spend some time looking to the river. For a couple of days I would say it has everything you need.
The bed I found it a bit small for 2 people but I slept well .
It was nice , I would go back to bed honest .
I can’t really say anything bad about it . I missed a kitchen roll to clean the plates but nothing else .

1. The location is the best part of this lodge, with uninterrupted views of the loch and nature all around.
2. If you are lucky enough to get nice weather, you can use the outdoor patio overlooking the loch
3. The lodge is of decent size with fully equipped kitchen with all the accessories you may need, like microwave oven, kettle, toaster and fridge
1. The mattress was very uncomfortable, you could feel the springs all over your body when moving
2. The bathroom looks recently refurbished but the shower is a nightmare. I first used the high pressure option but the water was either freezing cold or burning hot (dangerously). We then discovered that the temperature could be adjusted if you change to ECO option, but the pressure was so low it was impossible to wash my hair. Just to clarify this is an electric shower
3. The heaters are also electric and, even though they are powerful enough to keep you warm, the quality of heat is very poor. The fan in the bathroom in particular has a horrible burning smell.
4. There is no recycling, just one big bin with a black bag. I don't know if this is a council issue or a business decision, but I find it appalling that in 2025 there are still places with no recycling! We took some plastic and glass home to avoid it going to landfill.

The location was beautiful and the lodge decorated with warm colours and the bathroom was a lovely surprise as it was decorated beautifully.
We liked everything. It was perfect.

Great view, nice and quiet, we could watch a sea otter in the morning by the shore. Spacious interior and recently refitted. Nice pub/restaurant within walking distance. The Creagan is recommended.
The hot water is v v hot, dangerously hot. Dangerous for kids. The kitchen extract fan doesn't work. It powers on, but the propellor has fallen off the drive shaft, this can be seen from the outside (Birch tree lodge). This makes the lodge a bit humid at times and there is some mould spots which might be related to this. The information booklet is a bit dated.

A lovely peaceful location. Excellent for photography especially star gazing and the local wildlife.

The Porters Rest Shepherds Hut is lovely. Really well provisioned with the beautiful outside bath. A really special place with everything you could need from bathrobes, toiletries, teas and coffees plus a funky record player. Lots of fun and the owners were really helpful. Even checking I got back from my hill walk safely. Thanks so much.

The lodges are in a beautiful location and have everything you need. They are very warm and cozy and despite being so close to the road, the sound was not disrupting. We also liked the pool table in the common room!
No wifi in the lodges and poor wifi connection in the main room. Not ideal for work trips but good for holidays if you are looking for a place to disconnect completely. There could also be some lights leding from the common room to the lodges!

Very Quiet Location Which Was What we Were Looking For

Lovely view of the lake and deck area
Very busy road. Front door opened into the lodge and bathroom door (directly opposite front door) opened out.

beautiful scenery surrounding the caravan. washing machine and tumble dryer at location was very useful.
no towels and no bath mat included in the caravan. couldn’t get hold of the owners despite ringing and leaving messages as the TV didn’t work for the entirety of our stay. the heater didn’t work in the main bedroom and we couldn’t light the fire in the lounge so it was cold.

There is no powerpoint to charge our gadgets in the second bedroom. If there were...we must hv missed them ...but we looked and couldn't see any.

Location, close to oban and ferry harbor. On the main road
Bed in master bedroom was beyond bad! Never slept on such a uncomfortable mattress…
Cold in the morning and only one heater worked (small bedroom) the others were broken (main and bathroom)

Nice and clean!
I’ve seen people mention that it is close to the road and you could hear all the cars, but honestly it’s nothing you should worry about !
