Villa in San Concordio Di Moriano with 6 bedrooms sleeps 12

This was our first family holiday with the grandkids (4 year old, 18 month old and a 7 month old) and this villa ticked all the boxes - good size pool not too close to villa, proximity to Lucca and the airport and plenty of bathrooms. Our daily routine with young kids settled in quickly and easily as there was the Esselunga supermarket (10 mins drive) which became a daily visit, a garden centre/DIY (5 mins drive) for any bbq essentials and a great steak family oriented restaurant El Paso (10 mins drive). The swimming pool was a hit for adults and kids especially when it gets really hot in the afternoon. Thankfully all the rooms are equipped with efficient air conditioning for the night ( extras) and the wooden shutters on the windows help keep the heat out too. The beds were very comfortable (mattresses on the firm side) and they come with mosquito netting which was indispensable. There is much higher mosquito activity being in the countryside in Italy, and thankfully we managed this after a visit to Esselunga for sprays and electric pest repellant. The kitchen deserves a mention as we ended up cooking more than we planned. Whilst it is on the small side, it is equipped with a good electric oven, gas stove and a dishwasher. It has a great range of stainless steel pots and pans and is much appreciated by all who ends up cooking. I was amazed at the choices of plates, glasses and serving platters! Highly recommend to anyone with small kids and families who are happy to do their own cooking. When we are not cooking in the kitchen, we were using the barbecue every other day. My only 2 suggestions for improvement would be to provide more shade outside in the seating area. The existing seating/eating area is located right outside the downstairs bedroom windows. Since we prefer to have kids sleeping on the ground floor, this meant we had to keep the noise down during their afternoon nap time and bedtime. If the roof can be extended towards the opposite end (outside the internal dining area), another table seating area can be added which is much further away from the ground floor bedrooms. Also, an outdoor electric insect zapper would be much appreciated. PS: There is a playroom upstairs with plenty of toys which will keep the young ...

Villa Casa Rosa is a charming, comfortable farmhouse. The layout is perfect for family members with limited mobility as there are 3 bedrooms and 3 bathrooms on the ground floor. One bathroom is equipped with a roll in shower for a wheelchair if needed. Anna and Filippo are perfect hosts. They are very responsive to requests for help. We enjoyed the large pool and eating out on the terrace. Anna prepared two excellent meals for us - antipasto, first dish, second dish and dessert. Yum!

Salogi was very easy to work with and the staff’s comfort with English was helpful too. We rented a villa outside Lucca with our adult children and grandchildren. The home was comfortable, generously furnished and the location was gorgeous. The owner enjoyed our grandkids and would bring them treats of fresh grapes off of his vines. We spent many afternoons around the pool and all of our meals were enjoyed out on the patio. I feel very fortunate that we were able to find Salogi Villas and that their service and homes were a big part of our terrific visit to Lucca.

Great villa to spend time in. Spacious, well equipped, great pool, very nice owner, cleaner included. Excellent location. Visited Lucca, Viareggio, Florence and Cinqueterre. Lovely holiday.
