La Tour du Moulin Géant-séjour insolite

This was without a doubt the most impressive place I've ever stayed at. The conversion of the mill into living accomodation has been done in a brilliant way with a kitchen on the ground floor, bathroom on the next floor, bedroom on the next and a beautiful sitting room with panoramic views over the French countryside at the top. Breakfast consisted of coffee, yogurt, fresh orange juice, delicious croissants and bread with butter, home-produced jam and peaches. We weren't there long enough to do self-catering but the kitchen is well-stocked and the coffee machine there provided wonderfully strong coffee. The location is isolated and very quiet with only the sound of crickets at night. There is parking directly in front of the mill and Elke, the manageress is friendly and helpful. Being dog people, we loved her two Tibetan terriers. Our stay at the Moulin Géant turned our trip to France into something really special.

This is nitpicking but there are too few sockets to charge things and soap/shampoo is provided in small packets. Perhaps small bars of soap and a small bottle of shampoo would be better. But who cares? The view from the comfortable chairs in the living room on the top floor just blows every criticism away.

Dramatic place to stay, beautiful location, very friendly host.

I hadn't clearly stated that we wanted to use the upstairs camp bed, so I had to ask for that.

Better than the standard French breakfast!

Nothing - all was perfect. The 4* for value for money was because it's cheaper if you book direct so it's to do with the booking site not the property!
