Dès notre arrivée en pleine nuit, quelle fut notre surprise de nous voir accueillis sur le port par la propriétaire avec un énorme sourire. Ça donnait le ton pour la suite. Et effectivement tout fut extraordinaire : une part de gateau nous a gentiment été offerte à notre réveil, à toutes nos questions une réponse nous fut donnée, le prêt de la carte de randonnées de Tilos pour planifier nos futures excursions, un ménage quotidien apprécié ... Bref une adresse qu'on apprécie à 200 % comme cette île de Tilos !

Μας άρεσε ιδιαίτερα η εξαιρετική φιλοξενία και η ευγένεια της κυρίας Ισμήνης, η οποία ήταν πάντα πρόθυμη να μας εξυπηρετήσει. Το δωμάτιο ήταν ήσυχο, άνετο και διέθετε όλες τις απαραίτητες παροχές για μια ευχάριστη διαμονή.

Δεν υπήρξε κάτι που να μας δυσαρεστήσει. Η διαμονή μας ήταν πολύ ευχάριστη και όλα ανταποκρίθηκαν στις προσδοκίες μας.

Tilos is often described as one of Greece's hidden gems, but after spending two wonderful weeks here, I believe its greatest treasure isn't just the breathtaking scenery or the crystal-clear Aegean Sea—it's the people who make you feel that you've found a second home. From the moment I arrived, Ismini and Peter welcomed me with a warmth that can never be manufactured or taught. As a solo traveller, I was never made to feel alone. Instead, I felt genuinely cared for, included and welcomed with the effortless generosity that seems to come so naturally to them. Their apartments reflect exactly who they are. Every detail has been thoughtfully considered, blending comfort with creativity and artistic flair. My room was a peaceful sanctuary, impeccably clean, wonderfully comfortable, with excellent air conditioning and a view that quietly reminded me every morning why people fall in love with the Greek islands. Then there was Nola. Every single day for fourteen days she worked with extraordinary care and pride. Returning to my room became one of the unexpected pleasures of each day. Immaculately cleaned, beautifully presented, and always with another delightful towel creation waiting to make me smile. Her attention to detail never faltered, and her kindness shone through in every thoughtful touch. Hospitality is often spoken about, but rarely experienced in the way it is here. It isn't simply about providing beautiful accommodation; it's about making people feel they belong. That gift cannot be bought, and it can never be faked. One evening, I was invited to experience the traditional Greek dancing in the village square. Watching generations come together—children, parents and grandparents—laughing, dancing and celebrating beneath the evening sky captured everything that makes Greece so special. It wasn't a tourist attraction.
