Excellent value for money!

Good location. free parking 5 min walk. Very nice breakfast. Rooms small but comfortable and clean. Good beds.

An ideal hotel for a stay in the town centre.

Easy check-in, friendly staff. Good continental breakfast (this wasn't included in my room rate, but I paid separately for it). Excellent location in the town centre. Nice modern decor but retaining a touch of tradition.

My room wasn't serviced each day, although I did receive an apology for this. In fact I wasn't bothered and hadn't even given it a thought as many places don't service rooms since covid. Also, the central heating could have done with being on as the weather was rather chilly. The hotel bar wasn't operating, but I did receive a good recommendation for a bar nearby!

A welcoming stay

We were in a newly refurbished room, so the bathroom was modern and clean. The beds were comfortable. For breakfast there was a good choice of high standard food. The owner was very friendly and helpful. She went "above and beyond" to make us welcome. Poperinge is worthy of a visit. The hotel is on one of the main streets and a short walk from the town square

Nothing. Parking is free overnight outside the hotel, but if you're leaving late next morning, you do need to pay the meter.

Perfect when cycle touring.

Extremely friendly manager, a safe space to park our bikes, we asked for a quiet room and got it. I needed to wash my cycle shorts and the wonderful manager offered to dry them for me. Great shower.

Brilliant location in Arras

Just off the main square. No parking but told to leave my motorcycle outside so that a member of staff could watch it all night!

Overall very good, Secure off road parking provided for motorcycle at rear of property. Breakfast scrambled eggs cooked to order, good selection of fruit, cheese and ham.

Suitable hotel for a short stay in a handy location.

The Palace is in the main town so good for all local amenities. Comfortable beds and the room was clean. Can't comment on the breakfast as I didn't eat in the hotel.

There was no wardrobe or hanging space in the room. If you have trouble with stairs then ensure you don't book on the second floor as there is no lift The bar did not seem to be open during my stay.

Wonderful stay

Location is ideal for basing in Poperinge, with good on street parking, walking distance to square where there are plenty of options for cafes, restuarants & bars. Hotel was exceptional for a 2*, staff were excellent, very friendly & welcoming. Rooms were excellent lovely & clean, plenty of towels, hotwater & the beds were so comfortable. Rooms were so quiet didn't hear a thing. Breakfast was your typical continental but great choice of food. Would highly recommend 'The Hotel Palace', met some lovely people also staying the hotel.

The hotel grew on me as a good place to stay close to the town centre but parking was a real problem

While the hotel itself was very limited, the room was large, the bathroom well fitted and the bed wonderfully comfortable. The location was excellent.

The general presentation was off-putting at first - a gloomy entrance with a strong mell of tobacco emanating from the bar area. Once installed, however, things were fine.
