Blue Harmony Apartments

We really enjoyed Manolis and Kleoniki's Blue Harmony Apartments. It is easy to see this is a family owned business and a product of love. We really felt like at home, as staying with family, and we would have no reservations recomending it to others wanting a good base to explore the island of Naxos. The location is convenient, only 15 minutes from the main Naxos port and airport, but feeling like the country side, and 5 minutes walking from the beack. There are many things we could highlight but perhaps the best was the detailed plan for 4 days Manolis prepared for us, including each day places to go, things to see, activities to do, places to swim and places to eat. We did most of it and it was a really great way to get to know Naxos, which became one of our favourite Greek Islands. And every night or morning when we met Manolis we would get additional insights. Another highlight, one night we got invited to join them in a small gathering at the rooftop, they were having a chat with some other (greek) costumers, and we were given to try some home made delicious spirits. The Apartment is conveniently located 5 minutes walking from the beach, and at the beach Manolis told us we could see loggerhead turtles Caretta, which as a biologist I doubted. Just the next day we were able to swim with not one, not two but three adult turtles, interacting with us and with each other. All about 75 meters from the shoreline! A magical moment that got repeated two other days at the end of the day, the last swim before dinner. (These turtkes nest there apparently in August, so they were probably around getting ready to lay their eggs). The room was spatious, nicely decorated, with a kitchenette, and a small but functional bathroom. We had our own private outside table in a balcony where the delicious breakfast (you can choose from a number of items, from Greek yogurt with homemade jams, to omelete, to sweet or salty crepes, you name it, coffee, bread, you name it).

Only thing that could be nicer would be more natural light in the room, but it was expected being in the basement. The plus of the basement was that we stayed in 3 other places in Greece and Blue Harmony was the only one we did not have to use the AC to cool the room. And all the rest was just perfect.

We can’t say enough about how wonderful this apartment is! The hosts make the stay, as well as the beach and bus stop are just a small walk down the street, you can see the ocean from the property. The breakfast, service and recommendations on what to do in the area given from our hosts were amazing! They are such hospitable, kind people. The rooms are clean and extremely comfortable as well!
