Great location! Super friendly staff! Lovely view! Choice at breakfast for first few days!
Change to more limited breakfast part way through stay!

Moved mid stay to top floor room. More spacious than lower floor
Top floor had an odd smell. Noise from the plumbing first thing in the morning will wake you up. ( didn’t have this problem in first room) no long hanging if you have bought dresses . Outside balcony area beds needed to be cleaned

Nice sunset. Not much actually. On our first evening I asked my husband if we could check out the next morning and just bite the bullet on £800 per night for the following 2 nights. Came away feeling completely ripped off. I am only writing this as I stayed next door last year which was stunning. I booked this as it had very good reviews. Think I must have stayed in a different hotel!
I have been coming to RSA for nearly 20 years and stayed in 7-10 hotels each time. This is only the 2nd time I have felt even slightly disappointed. It certainly takes the gold medal for bad value.
There are many lovely statements on line regarding the owner.
The owner ,I believe, is a very clever woman who if you complain about something, she completely agrees with you. In our case she gushed about how well travelled, how helpful we are to her, how knowledgeable, how kind I was. Did try to put her right on that one! Makes you feel you are her new best friend. This would appear to be her method of damage limitation. It works. Usually!
It was only after leaving the hotel that I realised that I felt completely manipulated. I even had red roses sent to the room. I was told she would give me a discount. Won’t be holding my breath!
Tasteless and tacky. Cheap and nasty furniture everywhere. The owner has apparently discovered pearlescent cream paint and painted what look like very cheap compressed board tables, dining chairs, pillars etc so badly complete with drips dried in. Silver coloured mirrors and other accessories everywhere giving the feeling of a cheap tart’s boudoir. Our bedroom, which although light and airy carried on in the same theme with cream vinyl covered furniture and a rather gauche silver coloured chandelier.
The bathroom, I found terrifying. Scared of slipping on the floor. Shiny huge tiles on the floor which has a piece of carpet on it but one can’t help but wonder when it was last cleaned properly and are you going to pick up a nasty fungal infection/ veruca etc. likewise the same tiles in shower where there is a plastic mat to stand on. Yuck!
Food
We ordered sandwiches for lunch on arrival. Truly disgusting. Chicken and mayonnaise toasted sandwich and a tuna sandwich took well over an hour to make. Chicken toasted was burnt and complete with plenty of gristle. Tuna was traditional sandwich but the tinned tuna was heated. Why? My husband’s avocado and prawn fashion sandwich (new to this term) was sushi which arrived a further 45 minutes later as they sent out for it. This was very pleasant but so obviously brought in (it takes more skill than the chefs here have to make sushi!) the soy sauce was still left in the plastic containers. This is after all meant to be a 5 star hotel.
Breakfast. Buffet was ok but cooked breakfast was shocking for both of us the 1st morning. 2nd morning my husband gave up but I had avocado on toast with poached eggs which was actually quite good.
At 6pm first day we went to the bar for drinks. I asked for a glass of South African sparkling wine. Only available by the bottle! 5star hotel?
Pool area is cramped and the pool needs some renovation. 72 steps (I think) from pool to our room so if elderly or infirm, be aware.

Beautiful hotel with stunning views. Rooms were clean and spacious. Staff were nice and helpful especially the manager Juliet.
The food wasn’t that great. It didn’t match the prices.

The place was clean and staff friendly
Parking was limited and on a steep incline. The vehicle was parked overnight in this position, which affected the oil level readings the following morning.

Very overpriced for South Africans for what you get

An oasis of calm just 10 minutes from the main Cape Town attractions.
The staff cannot do enough for you from great service to recommendations.
There's nothing not to like unless you're looking for a lively place to stay. This hotel is very much a place to unwind rather than your typical chain hotel with a bar/ gym etc

The view was spectacular but what was particularly stood out were the staff. They were extremely friendly, welcoming, helpful and went above and behind. We really appreciated the small gestures such as chocolates on the pillows, flowers in the room, and conversations.
Hard to fault. We were in the sea facing room which was adjacent to the dining room so it was a bit noisy if you want to sleep in.

High quality stay in a very well thought out hotel, attention to detail is obvious, our room and bathroom were amongst the very best on our two week trip, staff as is the case everywhere were excellent.
The bar/breakfast room is a joy, what a view, and very elegant.
Free parking was great
All good

The property is in an incredible location with a gorgeous view (minus a crane that they can do nothing about)
There was a bit of construction going on near the pool area.

Modern architecture with elegance beyond belief, beautifully furnished, fresh flowers, stunning setting for a home in Bantry bay , overlooking the Atlantic Ocean. Great parking on site. You won’t want to leave the property!
That we had to leave :) nothing lacking!

Beautiful and spacious room. Great views from the room with very comfortable robes were supplied. The breakfast had great cold and hot options.
Not the hotel's fault, but a crane was positioned right in front of the hotel, obstructing the views from this stunning location. This is largely a result of all the construction happening in and around Cape Town. Again, nothing the hotel can do about it.

This place is a gem in the making . My suite was really beautiful . Big spacious and well thought out . U had every at u disposable . The staff are wonderful , polity and well trained .
There was nothing to dislike. Maybe in the future they could have a small dinner menu . Maybe two starters two mains and a delish cape pudding . Some places I lnow u order u dinner at breakfast and of course walk in to invite people to see what a wonderful place this is .

Awesome breakfast. Friendly staff. Walk in closet is great. Underfloor heating in room is fabulous.
We had a standard room with small bathroom. Bathroom has angled ceiling where toilet is, so difficult for a man to stand.

Breakfast was excellent. Best hot food served of any hotel we stayed in Cape Town

Not bad location, around 15 mins walk to restaurants etc
The hotel is very bad soundproof and not a 5 star hotel (maybe 3 star). Avoid room 14 next to the reception, you won't be able to sleep and the room is super dark. For this price better take a good airbnb. The owner offered us because of the noise 2 free nights which didnt make sense as we left after. We sent then an email and asked for a discount which she was willing to and said she sent the money, money up until now never arrived (despite multiple times asking back, i wont be asking again)

Friendly, attentive, and professional staff. Beautiful ocean and coastal views, the crane not withstanding. Elegantly furnished rooms with all the required amenities.
The hotel would be challenging for disabled persons.

We only stayed here for 2 nights at the end of our trip, but the hotel was extremely relaxing and perfectly situated in Bantry Bay with amazing views over the ocean and even Robben Island in the background. All major restaurant areas in Cape Town (V&A, Camps Bay, Kloof Street etc.) are within 10 mins taxi. There are lovely morning walks towards Seapoint and Camps Bay to start the day.
No negatives really.

Old glory tooo much staff around , pool was not swim ready … builders in our vieuw

Very friendly staff.
• Rooms are very poorly soundproofed; the doorbell ringing throughout the night from guests coming and going kept us from sleeping during our entire stay.
• Extremely basic amenities; the bathroom is far below the standards one would expect from a place advertised as a 5-star establishment; the bedding is quite mediocre.
• Our room was supposed to have a sea view — instead, we had a view of a wall!
• The owner was rather unfriendly (unlike the staff, who were absolutely lovely). We shared our dissatisfaction with her; she offered to give us two free nights for our next stay in Cape Town, which is completely irrelevant, as we have no intention of staying at this property again. Since then, we haven’t received any response, with the excuse that she is out of the country.

Rooms are large, clean and spacious with a beautiful view of the ocean, with only 13 rooms the service was very personal and staff are excellent. Election of items for breakfast was very big, in fact too much to choose from.
Nothing, everything was excellent. I could don't fault this hotel.

Room was lovely and spacious, friendly staff, good breakfast
Decor a bit tired. As was pool and surrounds. Needs a refresh. Large construction crane on property below was distracting to a normally great view.

The hotel was better than expected. It was warm, friendly and the staff really cared. It was almost like staying with family without the intrusion and they respected the privacy and nothing was too much trouble.
